Love this after having another brand which needed to lock down....but the handle got hot & brittle so eventually snapped off. This one you do not need any pressure, the lid part when making toasties is heavy enough, so quick and even good for simple toast.The grill function is great too and saves a 2nd frying pan.Would be better if the plates could be removed for washing. However, top tip just put some tin foil on it to easily clean up any cheese that runs out. V happy.

I used baking paper with it. I make the best toasts in the world with this sandwich toaster. It is not good for grilling meat as it sticks, but for toasts with ham and cheese and wrapped between baking paper..it is just great.

Found its smokes a lot think it’s the channel were grease run away blocks easily

Oonly delivered 2 days ag so preliminary comments only ,but it did 2 fillet steaks of differing thickness just fine 6 minutes to 60c internal temp gave perfect 'rare' but I checked regularly with meat thermometer from 4 minutes as first time with this model grill Also did 4 ham and cheese toasted rolls nicely for tea.edited to add,Have now done turkey burgers, 7 minutes to well done, using <7% fat turkey mince, also good results and easier than on older and smaller 'fit' grill. it's next outing will be frozen 'breaded chicken burgers straight from freezer and grilled instead of oven cooked, should be a doddle as worked fine on old grill, 11 minutes instead of 22 in oven, less greasy and crispier result Overall much easier to clean too so happy bunny all round if it lasts.edited again to add. just bought another the same as # 1 broke after 6 months plus, when my wife was cleaning it and pushed the top back against the catch that opens it to a full flat grill bbq style the catch snapped off and whilst the grill still works the lid was wobbly. this time have added the 3 year accidental damage insurance in case she does it again. grrrr.

The grill heated up quickly and cooked well on the first attempt.However, if this was bought for indoors then beware. The grill gets very hot and burns any fat that it comes into contact with, with the result that whilst cooking burgers our kitchen was filled with smoke from the fat burning.We in fact bought this to use outside with a campervan so are in fact happy to keep it. However, if we had bought it to use indoors we would not be happy as it smokes to much for indoor use.Another note is that it is easier to clean when the grill plates are still hot.

Very disappointed. ☹️ I cooked steak on it the first time I used it and it burnt to a crisp and it was rock hard! Also it was burnt onto the grill plates! I had an awful job trying to clean it to get it off and it took me ages. 😫haven’t used it since!

I thought this might be one of those items that sit unused for months before becoming a plug donor.But we use it several times a day. It is great for panini but we also use it to grill chicken and steaks.Fairly easy to clean - there are some good tips available to make it easy. We've had it three months now and it seems solid and reliable. It's well made and easy to use. A good size for general use. Maybe you'd want a bigger one to do multiple panini.
