Strength and folding capabtility are two featuress to be appreciated.
The cane is sturdy, as I weigh about 250 lbs., and after several weeks it shows no wear or tear. It has the capability of various heights, one of which fits me and it is not cumbersome when I walk by myself or with a group. I also notice its light weight when walking the dog and picking up after it. The light is also very convenient and necessary when taking the dog out after dark; the adjustment to vary the location of the light beam is a must in keeping your balance with the cane. The convenience of folding, particularly when dining, is rewarding.

Total satisfaction now from an (almost) dissatisfied customer
A first-class product!Perhaps most satisfying is the amazing base that you have created! When I first got the cane I was almost ready to return it because it did not have the flexibility in the base that my old HurryCane (now lost!) did. I now realize that that was because of an ingenious feature that is built into the base . It has what I would call an "on-demand" locking mechanism. When the cane is bearing weight the lock disengages and the cane is free to pivot in all directions. This means that it can flex sideways and forward helping me to recover from a stumble, and it can flex backwards helping to push me up to arise from a seated position. I now realize that the reason it was apparently not flexing when I first examined it was that I was not actually USING it! When I put my weight down on the cane it certainly does flex. And when I take my weight off the base locks and allows the cane to stand up fairly stably on a hard smooth surface--very handy when I am searching everywhere to find it!And almost as satisfying to me as the base of the cane is its handle!First, the grip itself is encased with a sponge rubber surface which is not only comfortable but also proves additional friction to keep the cane from slipping off when it is hung on the edge of a table or countertop. The angle of the handle with respect to the shaft shifts the center of gravity so that the handle bears down flat on the rubber surface, also discouraging slipping. [I should also add, however, that I am concerned about how well the sponge rubber will hold up under heavy usage.]And finally, there is the light. In my old hurricane the switch for the light was placed right under where my hand rested on the handle. Thus I was unknowingly turning the light on all the time and the batteries were almost always run down. And replacing the battery was a real pain. The panel to access the battery used very tiny screws and immediately I would lose them! Also now the lamp has a flexibility that not only allows me to look directly ahead, as my old HurryCane did, but also bends down to show me where I am about to step. Very helpful! All in all:I am an almost "dissatisfied" who is now very satisfied!Thank you!

Good overall cane, but light is a bit difficult getting it to work
It's easy to fold, appreciate the carrying bag and the hand strap that also serves to hold the cane together when folded. Has a solid feel, folds do not wobble when extended, and the cane is easily adjustable as described to fit my six foot frame comfortably, with still another notch to spare. I also love that it stands by itself on solid surfaces (forget carpets, but that's not to be expected). Unlike other canes, the base is solid with a reinforced plate and treaded grips that do not skid (had a heavy storm where I lived and tried out the cane going up my driveway - no skidding at all). Overall, it is a good solid cane, but unfortunately I had a time getting the light to work. The Instructions for how to get the light to work are in need of improvement. The four batteries supplied come jacketed twice. First they have an outer cover to hold them in place inside the light. Upon taking the lights out of their cover, they are jacketed together in still another transparent cover that at first I couldn't figure out its purpose (no instructions on this). I finally took a chance and ripped the transparent cover off the batteries, turning the loose. Put them back on the first cover that was holding them together, insert them in the light, put the light back together and then it worked just fine. Again, this is a good cane. I just wish the light instructions were more definitive as to what is what and how. It would save about half an hour of a customer's time (like me) spent trying to figure out how to make the light work. Other than this flaw in the instructions, I would recommend this cane.Addendum: I'm sorry to say I had to return this cane. While standing on its own on a tiled level floor, it fell over and the handle light came apart with the tiny cell batteries going everywhere. I put the light back together and it worked, but the cane fell over once again and once again the light came off the handle. Had enough and sent it back of a refund. Frankly, this is an otherwise good cane. It is just too bad the light sticks out so much in front that a falling over can get it to come apart. Don't know if I just got a defective cane - could be. Gave it four stars nonetheless based on the benefit of the doubt, but we aware there may be an issue with the light if the cane falls over a hard surface.

sturdy, and easily adjustable
After a hip replacement at a very young 56 years of age I found this cane stylish, sturdy, and easily adjustable; handle is soft, memory foam like. The small base swivels when I turn and pivots when I bend and the cane stands by itself if I need to flip through pages at a bookstore. It won't stand easily on plush carpet, but that was no big deal for me. There is a wrist strap to keep it in place. I had my garage windows boarded up to ward off thieves and it is now so dark I can't find my car. One tap of the easy to find button upon entrance brightens up my whole area! The light even moves up and down for positioning. I have already recommended this cane to several people that I know and have received many compliments. My physical therapist is even recommending it to her other patients. I've been using the cane consistently now for about a month. Sadly I will be letting it go soon as I will no longer need it. It has held up very well under much use. I highly recommend this product and commend the makers of it. Not always do you get a product that lives up to what it says it does.
