After some research, I found this. I (at age 54 currently) have had hearing loss since childhood. I had tubes inserted in my ears by age 40, purchased my first 'in canal" hearing aid by 45. Nothing comes close to this wonderful product! Its super easy to use and put together as I usually have difficulty with some things and need my husbands assistance. It was up and running in 5 minutes. When I first put it on, I heards sounds I wasn't ever able to hear before, I was amazed! The unit provides crystal clear sounds with no background noise whatsoever. The only slight noise I hear is when the device is rubbing against your clothes while wearing it, not all the time of course but its not a bothersome sound. This unit comes with all the 'bells and whistles" too. It has an adjustable head phone set, ear pods, a belt clip, a lanyard the unit can clip onto, and a great feature as well is long cables that hook directly into your television! I also purchased the extended warranty for $9.95, so the total came to $ 169.00. In fact, I am so impressed by this unit that I am going to purchase a second one soon, just so I have an extra.I certainly waited a very long time for the 'perfect match' for my ears, and this was definitely the one! Two yrs later summer of 2016....... I bought two units and misplaced both of them. I am so disappointed because I now hear 'little to none' without my units! I strain severely to pick up anything and I mean anything that is spoken to me and most of all I can't hear my pastor at church. I suppose I will try desperately to try to mlocate one or the other. If not it will be a third purchase on the horizon. I hope I have helped!!

Got these for my 90 year old mother. The headphones are very cheap and ill fitting, so the amplified sound does not really make it into her ears! We'll be replaceing them with a better set. This unit is better than others that only provide amplified sound into ONE ear only, so they are a vast improvement over others in the market. Controls are large and easier for my mom to use vs. small scrolling wheels typical with other devices.

Pros: looks nice and controls are well laid out. increases sound level dramaticallyCons: I found the sound to be very noisy....i could not listen to music. I could not boost the treble frequencies. I found the headphones to be uncomfortable even though they were adjustable. When I tried my expensive ear buds, the left ear bud was blown out.....it no longer produced sound. I found it very expensive for what I received.

I have had to use hearing aids 16 hours per day for the past 25 years, if I wanted to hear anything. I have spent thousands on in-the-ear and behind-the-ear aids but this aid outperforms them all. Because I wear mine all day I use the earbuds and so that the wires are not in my face I get to my right ear by running the wire around the left side of my neck and around the rear and into my ear then the same for the left ear. The earbuds that they have are very good but I have a big neck and the wires are to short so I use Panasonic HJE12 earbuds and those wires for each ear are two inches longer. I have a severe hearing loss but with the earbuds, I can hear the TV clearly twenty feet away. I also recommend their external microphone. This is nice in the winter to clip on the outside of a heavy coat. I also use mine in restaurants, the closer to a person the better you will hear. Telephones are always a problem but the built in telecoil works well with my cellphone. The tone control is amazing. In an automobile on the low setting you hear nothing but road noise. Run it up to the other end and road noise disappears and you can hear others speaking. I have no problem talking with the wife on road trips. Feedback is minimal, overall performance is excellent. My only dislikes are the nonstandard microphone jack, it eats batteries, six days is the best I can get out of Amazon NI-MH, the push buttons for volume do not work all that well.
