Wonderful Blank cartridge.
I used Ace3DS+ firmware with the emulators packaged in. Some emulators don't work as far as I know (like Atari), but I haven't checked for fixes. It emulates GB and GBC games fine (at least the games that I've checked). It runs DS Roms as fine. I've run into issues with some ROMS, but that's likely just a bad rom download.

Best R4 Clone Ever
While technically an unbranded R4i, this thing just works. It's compatible with every DS I've tried it with, it fits perfectly, was easy to set up and even easier to use, and seems high quality. For the price, you can't do better.

Follow instructions from other reviews; keep in mind this is an adapter only
So, this is a MicroSD to Nintendo DS/DS Lite/DSi adapter cartridge. It comes with no instructions, no SD, nothing but the adapter itself. The lack of SD card worked out fine for me, because I wanted a way to backup my own library of games, not something pre-loaded with potentially sketchy roms or time-limited software. The lack of instructions is less than ideal, but thankfully the other reviewers here provided clear directions on how to set it up correctly. Having followed their instructions, there's been no problem playing my backed-up files using this adapter. The plastic feels much more lightweight and cheaper than an official DS game cart, and it does feel like it fits tighter in the cartridge slot of the console in a way that's a bit concerning. Thankfully, the point of this adapter is to have your whole library loaded onto one card so that you don't have to switch cards between games, thus reducing the physical wear and tear on a console that's coming up on 20 years old. If you have your card totally set up, you don't really have to worry about the snug fit making it more difficult to take in and out of the DS since you won't ever be changing it out. I'd definitely recommend this to DS enthusiasts who want to have their own customized backup flashcart rather than relying on pre-made ones that might have questionable software. The only reason it loses a star is because I had to rely on the *reviews* for directions.

Works, but fit and finish issues
After loading the necessary software, it worked out-of-the-box on our 3DS and 2DS. I also tested on a DSi, and it would not recognize the cartridge unless I put paper folded 2-3 times behind the cartridge. This tightened the fit, allowing the DSi to consistently recognize the cartridge. -2 stars for this issue.

Definitely worth getting if you know what you're doing.
I have the DS Lite and it works flawlessly. Paired with the right software you can run any game you want. I originally wanted a flash cartridge for my GBA SP but were over $50+. I had a DS Lite, so I decided to dust it off and get this instead. Not only am I happy with having the whole library of GBA games now, I can get the whole DS library too! 64GB is more than enough for the storage by the way. Don't spend too much on a large micro SD card, the games are so small.

Micro SD adapter never worked
The plastic feels different from an original R4 and the micro SD comes in with difficulty.

Good R4 Clone
Works correctly if you know what you are doing. A slightly better plastic than the yellow R4 clone with the .cn url on the tag, though functionally identical. I can't compare to the original R4 as I have never used one.

Great, it's not cheap but at least there is more than 1 people that bought this one. You need a micro sd card. If you want to use an SDXC one (more than 32 go) you have to format it to FAT32 (search for some tutorials). You can use a micro sd SDHC directly for it to work (32 go will already be huge). You need to find yourself the firmware or "kernel" (some files to drag in the microSD along the roms). For the kernel I used the "R4 Smart Update Original" (you can find it online easely) because it was more complete with emulators built in for gba and others consoles. I used it on DSi XL and 2ds XL but sadly it can't play 3ds game. The cards/R4/linkers that are capable of that are hard to find, some says you would be better off hacking the console to be able to play 3ds game. This product allows to play games easely without hacking your console and i imagine you can easely lend it to someone. If you struggle there are a lot of tutorial, good luck!

This thing is invaluable especially since lots of DS games don't let you keep multiple save files on one cartridge. You can also run romhacks, randomizers, etc., this is honestly the best way to take your DS game collection with you without having to swap cartridges or mod your console.

I own 2 Nintendo DS'. One works flawlessly and the other gives the SpongeBob game. Just click through and you will open your SD card. Top one in picture is the working one bottom is spongebob. Check your serial # before buying maybe.
