No one could tell the difference
I lost my mic while moving. I was going to buy an original replacement from Kingston who makes HyperX, but they were out of stock. I bought this one and everything on it works the same as the original. It sounds the same AFAIK and it fits properly on my wireless version and the red light mute indicator functions as expected.
