Not what I expected, but a pleasant surprise
So...I bought this when it first came out and there was no description nor any information on it. I thought I was getting another book of comics, but oddly enough it is just a journal for you to explore yourself and doodle to various questions. I considered returning it, but the concept appealed to me, so I've kept it and am just starting. It might take me quite a while to finish it, but it's interesting putting to words and (bad) drawings my thoughts and contemplations on what is inside. In all honesty I should have looked at the cover and understood exactly what I was buying...but I enjoyed the surprise.

Fun journaling adventure
Perfect! I like this type of journal in that it has leading suggestions of what to write about. I don’t like standard journals. To me they are “here’s an empty notebook I’ll fill with my selfish thoughts and then become so embarrassed by what I wrote I burn it”. This is fun and silly and has friendly creatures on the pages

Not an anthology
I purchased this thinking it was another book of cartoons. It is really a guided journal, and I hate journaling. So, it's being gifted. I'm not giving a low score simply because the comics are good. I just wish that they would have written something besides "Strange Planet Series"... which implies to me that it is another anthology. I just didn't read the last 1/3 of the description.

Intended for diary, journaling, writing; unlike his comic books
I thought this was more comics (a continuation of his others) but that was my fault. This is somewhat like a journal/diary to be used for one’s own writings. If that’s what you’re looking for, it’s awesome and well-priced, but I love his comics best (Strange Planet and Stranger Planet).
