Games Workshop - Warhammer Age of Sigmar - Starter Set Warrior

I found the booklet instructions confusing on the 3rd and 4th models under construction, the numbered parts did not fit, i the uninitiated must visit a Warhamner shop, i am sure i got it wrong somewhere, nothing about this topic on youtube.

I love the simplicity of this box it is what you need to play and gives you two small forces to fight with the quality of the map mat dice ruler and miniatures is outstanding the books we get are a core rules book giving you a nice guide to playing AOS and a book about being a begginer exclusive to this edition it has some missions you can play with another person (or yourself) to get you started introduce yourself to core mechanics. We get a nicely formatted instruction leaflet on building the miniatures that is easy to read and comprehend even for me!! Now I have a couple small things to criticise the first being as many other reviews say the box was slightly damaged However the contents where in good condition and no damage seemed to have got to them. As well as I think this box should include some tools to help remove the minis from their plastic prison although for the price Of the box I believe those aren’t necessarily needed as wire cutters do the trick and a lot of us have those lying around. Overall good quality box nice to get started and a 5 star product that is great for its price

The box comes with everything you need to play, although it doesn't really let you know that you need something to cut the pieces of the minatures out of the packaging, I used a Stanley knife as it's all I had available, it worked, but actual cutters would of done been alot cleaner, and because the pieces are small, you've gotta put abit of pressure behind pushing the pieces into eachother, but not damaging them, I had a slight accident with one of my Gutrippaz, but abit of super glue should fix that easy enough, and if not, I'll paint it so it looks like he has an arm missing (luckily it's a shield arm), but the only real downfall is that the instruction booklet doesn't really explain well enough how to put it together, I had to watch a video on youtube to begin with to understand that all the pieces weren't necessarily on the same piece, and they don't explain the reasons why you can built 2 different models from the same section, like the banner carrier or a regular vindictor for the storm casts, the pictures make sense when you know what you're doing, but could do with abit of an explanation on the first page.But all in all the box is great, super excited to star playing, it come with the dice, rulers, rules, matt, and the inside box can be used to play on, and it comes with a lore book the really fun to read if you're interested in the back story and such, great purchase, 4 out of 5,would have been full marks if there wasn't abit more of information provided in the building side of things

It's very good, little harder than I was expecting and it's a shame it doesn't come with paint but overall worth it.

I bought this set after getting the stormcast starter set as I had not played or painted since I was 14 I felt comfortable with the price as a test.I'm now hooked and have a wish list of models for my army just waiting for pay days lol.

Packaging was all battered more than just from postage, definitely had a second hand look about it, contents OK, just as well it was not a present

Easy to assemble the minis and good start for an intro into the Age of Sigma game system

I got this mainly to finish out my Stormcast side and get more units for the Kruelboyz (Note, they are a horde army, be prepared to have to pick up a lot of units for it, not a huge downside, just don't want anyone to freak out due to that) The starter is perfect. Compared to the 2nd edition starter, this one gives you a full 5 man group of Vindicators and a Knight Arcanum, which means you have a proper base to go off of. For the kruelboyz, you have 10 gutrippaz and a Killaboss with Stab Grot, so each are evened out so you can play small games with someone out of the box and not have to worry about weird unit sizes. Models are push fit, meaning changing poses is difficult but not impossible, but the sculpts look amazing without having to do this. I also love it comes with a streamlined rulebook which beats lugging around the full size one. Only real downside is the box arrived a little damaged, but outside of that this is a solid start to anyone looking to get into warhammer age of sigmar. From here, I would suggest getting the Harbinger box, as it will give you different units and will give you close to the same points without breaking the bank buying stuff separate. All in all, a solid product for a really fun game.Side note: I would suggest having an exacto knife and hobby clippers on hand to clean it up with, most can be found cheap on here, and will make life easier. Also please remember to prime the models, that way paint sticks like it is supposed to. If you are lost, there are several amazing YouTubers who put out tutorials telling you everything you need to know!

If you collect Stormcast and Kruelboyz, this is a great way to bulk up your battle line troops.
