A great startup camera
Bought it for my grand daughter who has been showing keen interest in photography. She fell in love with it immediately.

Wrong charger
product was correct, however the charger wasn’t the cable charger which it says on the description and picture. It was a charger with US plug already fitted so you have to use adaptor which I’ve heard damages the battery. Called Amazon they can’t replace camera as none in stock so they gave me 10% off the price as a refund to buy a charger. Issue is canon don’t stock the charger anymore.

Too expensive
The camera is too expensive for its mediocre quality. Additionally, the price dropped right after I placed my order.

Arrived without the charging lead
Arrived without the charger lead?? Considering jr was an expensive item, I am very disappointed

In my opinion, this is one of the finest cameras that Canon produce. Finer even than many of their low to mid range DSLRs. This the SX740HS and the 730 I bought for my wife some years ago is just as good. It is well-made and robust, not cheap but worth every penny. The 40 times zoom is spectacular. Mega distance shots look like they are a short distance away with remarkable clarity, focus and colour density, providing the light is good and you can hold the camera steady, The IS helps on full zoom but for best result a tripod or simply standing the camera on a fence post works best. There are a host of options for shooting ranging from full manual operation to a huge selection of auto settings including low light and moving subjects. The movie setting is full HD and wonderfully clear and smooth. Honestly, I got rid of my DSLR for this and don't regret it for a single moment. The results are infinitely better. I just hope that Canon don't retire this model but keep on improving it. Buy this camera and you wont regret it.

Idealer Foto für alle Zwecke: Prima Zoomaufnahmen, gute Nahaufnahmen, Automatik prima und manuelle Einstellung auch möglich aber kaum notwendig , Filmaufnahmen sind zufriedenstellend. Kurz: die ideale Kamera für den gehobenen Anspruch. Außerdem ist das Klappmechanismus des "Suchers" für Nahaufnahmen in Bodennähe und für schnelle Selbstaufnahmen eine ideale Einrichtung!

Bella digitale compatta con la qualità tipica di Canon, ottime caratteristiche, sarebbe stato gradito un manuale d'uso compreso, che ho dovuto scaricare dal sito Canon. Bella la qualità delle foto e la maneggevolezza. Ovviamente essendo un recente acquisto è da testare meglio, ma ho avuto altre macchine Canon e sono sempre stato piacevolmente soddisfatto. Per concludere, ottimo il venditore, a cui mi sono rivolto per un problema di spedizione, ha risposto velocemente al mio quesito.
