Exactly what I was hoping for!
When I wanted to get this table my husband was worried about it being the textured groove wood instead of flat because with having 3 kids it'll be harder to clean when food and other things get smashed in it. I liked it a lot and it was a decent price so I chose to be blind to the cold hard truth that deep down inside I knew that would most likely happen. I also figured I could use place mats that they can eat on to avoid that happening. Within a months time one of my kids used a wipe to try and scrub out something sticky that had gotten on it and the wood got ruined in that spot. (See 1st picture). I then decided to use a table cloth which I don't like table cloths and my kids would always use the part that hung down as a napkin. So after a year or so I started looking into heavy glass to put on top but the cheapest I could find was about $400, which is like half the cost of my table that is already slightly damaged so I didn't want to spend that kind of money unless it's a brand new table which we are going to wait until the kids are older to buy a new one. I came across this and decided it's worth a try, most reviews are good. I put it on yesterday afternoon and it did curl at the ends but the note on it said I can use a blow dryer so I figured I'd put a couple heavy things on the end to flatten and use the blow dryer later on that night. By then the curls were already flattened so I didn't need to use the blow dryer. There was still a few ripples in it but I figured I'll wait to see if they go down too which by the next morning they were gone. I am really glad I went with this. It looks good (better in person than in my pics), it's thick enough to be sturdy, and it doesn't slide which I was worried about. My kids already made slime while sitting at the table earlier, so lucky me I got to test out cleaning a big mess on the cover within the first 24 hrs. There was many pieces of both tiny and big slime globs that were stuck to it, wet baking soda, about 9 shades of food coloring, and last but not least, mass amounts of smeared glue all over it. I said to myself, if the cover can be easy to clean after all this, I'm confident it can handle pretty much anything, and it was easy to clean and looked brand new again after! I was going to wait a few days to review but I think I can confidently say I love it and am so glad I got it. This is a long review so if you made it through, congrats! I read the reviews but nothing had me completely sold and for $80 I wanted to read stuff that had me feeling confident, so since I didn't get to feel that, I figured the least I can do is leave a thorough review for the next person in my shoes.

Is a very good product.
If you are looking for something to protect your table, with no glass, this is a very good option. Is not super heavy, the price is good, good quality and once you put it in the table it doesn't move. The only problem was that, we didn't find a size that was the one we need it so we bought one that was a little bigger. But I am still happy with the product. Hopefully they can do costum soon, that way you do not have to deal with cutting the extra.

Protects but gets smudgy
I like this protector, it stays put and does protect the table. My only gripe is that it gets smudgy easily after being wiped down. I tend to have to wash it, immediately dry with a towel, and even then it is still a bit filmy.

Durable and worth it!
It makes our table look more classy and will keep the top of the table from getting damaged. The mat is heat resistant. We've had potholders under hot pans/pots on it. As well as pretty hot plates sitting on the table.Recently, my sister was chopping vegetables at the table. Long story short, she ended up chopping also down on the mat as well. We were worried that we would see a huge scratch (she has a heavy hand) and amazingly enough there wasn't.To anyone who doesn't want to set the mat in the sun to smooth out or doesn't have a blow dryer. If you have a iron (the one used for clothing **even better if it has a steam setting**make sure you fill it up with water if it does have this setting**) and a bath washcloth. Wet the washcloth and wring out the water and wrap it around the bottom of the iron(I kept the cloth around the bottom of the iron with my hand holding it around it from the top, it will create heat and steam that will smooth out the mat. And basically act like you are ironing clothing.I had my mat spread out on the table during this process and no damage was done to the mat or wash cloth. It took about an hour or so. I didn't mind, I considered it a nice work out for my arms.***If you do use this method make sure the iron itself NEVER touches the mat as of course, it could damage the mat.***I did also use dish soap and then water, several times over, to make the mat nice and shining afterwards.

The perfect solution!
My house is filled with 4 generations of precious family heirlooms, lovingly passed down to me from Grandparents, Great Grands, Aunts, Parents, etc - treasures that carry many memories. So, when decorating my kitchen in the French Country style, I chose an antique mahogany dresser I found at an antique store. Already painted white, edges sanded to increase the charm, it was just what I was looking for. However, after months of use, I began to see areas on the top surface that were damaged from using the surface as I had intended - a useful, waist high, wide counter to roll out pie crusts, mix batter, combine casserole ingredients, anything requiring a larger work area. My niece was very pleased when she purchased a section of this topper to cover her craft desk, so helped me find one to protect the beautiful wood beneath the painted surface of my island. There are many sizes to order, and I was able to find the perfect fit, requiring no trimming. It is thick enough to lay flat immediately, easy to wipe clean, it is clear, so doesn't distract from the charm of the antique dresser, and provides the surface protection I wanted. Perfect fit and choice!

definitely not 23.6 x 47
i specifically bought 23.6 x 47 which is my table’s measurements but what arrived is only 22” x 43.5”; other than the size being disappointing it is thick, however it’s also a pain to keep it flat on the table surface from getting unrolled.

I really needed a 14x14
This was the closest to the size I wanted. It comes rolled up. After laying it flat and weighting it down for a few days it finally lay flat on its own.Love the rounded corners and it if the perfect thickness.Am currently using it on a side table under a water fountain.

Good Cover for Table Protection
Overall I think this is a good cover to help protect any wooden tables from liquid damage. The only issue is it’s not as transparent I think the images indicate.
