Another well written book on the great player of yesteryear.
A great book with many historical details and very good, well chosen games. Many details that are hard to find laid out in a very readable narrative. Highly recommend.

Interesting Book, but it has a mistake
A very interesting book about five of the greatest Soviet chessplayers of the 40's, 50's, and 60's. One of them, Smyslov was World Champion in 1957, another, Bronstein, almost was World Champion in 1951. I suggest the autor could fix a mistake in pages 278-279. Smyslov was not defeated by Eldis Cobo in the 4th Capablanca In Memoriam in Havana, 1965, but by Eleazar Jiménez. Smyslov defeated Cobo and lost with Jiménez, Ivkov and Fischer, but won the tournament 0,5 points ahead Ivkov, Geller and Fischer, with 13 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats.
