The Art of Crochet Blankets: 18 Projects Inspired by Modern Makers

UPDATE: I see now that this book is so much more than a book of crochet patterns! I am really enjoying reading through the artist profiles and contemplating the author’s designs. It really is wonderfully stimulating and I’m glad it’s pushing my boundaries!I bought this book because it's the only way to get the pattern for Layered Waves. I looked everywhere and that pattern is not available outside this book. While a lot of the blankets included in the book are gorgeous, and the artist profiles are interesting, I might make one, maybe two, others, but most are the kind where you crochet a 100 bitty pieces and then sew them together, and those kinds of projects are not joyful for me. It would have been nice to be able to purchase the projects individually. I would find that less wasteful. If you're the kind of person that doesn't mind that, the book really is gorgeous and the artist stories are wonderful.

The book is really great! Many different projects with nice different patterns. Well explained and illustrated.

Came really quick, lovely detailed book and easy to follow

An incredibly inspiring book so full of amazing ideas that it is difficult to know where to start. Each design is SO DIFFERENT from the usual ideas around in crochet today. The book is such good value when you think of the work that has gone into these designs. Each design has fantastic, easy to follow written patterns with diagrams and charts. The colour options for each pattern are endless and you could mix and match motifs to make your own designs if you wanted to.
