Great for oil sampling! I also used it for flushing my power steering system out with fresh fluid. Hooked it up to the return line and pulled fresh fluid from the reservoir. Worked great !!

Good packaging, quality product, as described will accept multiple size hose. Works very well. Makes taking samples extremely easy and clean. So if you are tracking the wear on your engine or monitor the transmission or coolant this makes it so much easier to obtain samples. The release button allows you to exactly control the sample size and stop the flow when you want. Very sturdy build quality. Think it will last for many years.

I bought this so I could keep tabs on my new Truck and its engine, since there's a huge recall on earlier model years. First, this works amazing! I was able to put a thin tube down the dipstick tube and pull oil into the bottle! Be sure you order wide mouth bottles with a 38-400 cap. Many bottles sold here are wide mouth, but do not have that thread on them. Also, new GM oil dipstick tubes are incredibly small. A 1/4 OD tube will not go down to the oil. You need a smaller diameter one. Search for "4mm OD Bowden Tube" you can buy a very short length for just a couple dollars.

This pump works great! It has and keeps great suction, it pulls the oil up fast, and its durable! I have had mine for a few years now and it has maintained its functionality. I use mine for Engine oil samples and air compressor oil samples on locomotives.

Well that was easy! I have pulled more than a few samples over my life, and that was the cleanest sample job I have ever done, virtually zero mess. Just toss the tube when you're done and all the mess goes with it.

This is the first sampling pump I've purchased. I put it to use almost immediately, sampling oil on a Ram 3500 with the 6.7L Cummins engine. The 1/4 inch tube attached to the pump perfectly with no issues. I had to change to a 3/16 flexible fuel line tubing because of the Cummins dip stick tube. The 3/16 line worked, but didn't tighten down quite as good. I thought the threads were going to strip on the yellow plastic head because of how much you had to tighten it so the O-ring would fit snug on the 3/16" tubing. At one point, I noticed the thumb screw looked like it was setting at an angle - like it was cross threading or trying to jump threads. I loosened it then tightened it back down a little less tight than before. The vacuum worked excellent however, and I was able to get a sample after some other difficulty with the 3/16 tubing that was not related to this pump.

Where has this been all my life? So much easier than catching a sample during an oil change or worse asking for a sample when getting a fluid change and they forget it. It’s so simple to use and you don’t even have to clean it. Oil flow starts easily with a pump or two. 1/4” line fits perfectly in it and then just watch your cup fill up and press the vacuum release button to stop the flow. I also got the cups from Lubeflex. Made in america they say and I like that. It does have some knurling on the handle other look alikes don’t have. I love it. Makes oil sampling so easy and fast.
