Had a wheel problem, Warranty covered it.
Wheel worked loose from the drive shaft after 5 months making it useless.Called Jasco (the manufacturer) and they sent me a new one, no muss, no fuss.

Great product, especially with solar and maximising panel use.
I like the finish quality and simplicity of this timer. The only issue I have is that there are tabs that stick out of the front cover showing if the unit is on or off. You can also push these up/down to override the system. My issue is that the slots are too tight with the tabs. There should be more clearance around the tabs as they have plastic ends that could rub and hinder correct operation. Otherwise a great device.

Dial broke when about a year old
I bought two of these as I have a water heater in both my house and my shop. Both my house and my shop are powered by solar+batteries, so I only want my water heaters running when I'm not running on battery (when the sun is up and hopefully shining). The one in the shop is still working—for now, but last week I noticed the one in the house was not. What happened is the hub of the aluminum clock dial stripped out and no longer turns, so this expensive item is now useless. The hub screw was still tight, so it wasn't a problem with the screw—it was the cheap aluminum dial.I have included a picture showing the dial and the screw. You can see how the hole in the the dial is larger than the screw head. I tried putting a washer between the screw and the dial to pinch the dial, but that did not pinch it at all. When looking at other reviews, I see others have experienced the same problem. Unfortunately, those reviews were left after I made my purchase, so I was not able to be forewarned...

Poor quality control
Installation was straight forward like the many I've installed in the past. About a year later I went to make sure it was on while preparing for a hurricane and found it was in when it shouldn't have been. Checking further I found that the clockface was pressed on to the shaft and it had popped loose, so while the shaft was turning the clock face wasn't, leaving the heater always on. I managed to press it back on, then tried to secure it by inserting a flat washer and tooth washer under the screw. Whether or not that'll work I won't know until it cycles on and off several times.
