Good pencil and worth the price
Great soft pencil with excellent coverage and blending. A little pricey but worth it.Wish Amazon packaged them differently when shipping due to the pencils colored lead being more suseptible to breaking, like put a little air pouch or bubble wrap...something other then just a cardboard box. But 10-10 would recommend the pencils!

Nice product
Great pencils, vibrant colors. Just wish they would package them better (I ordered several, which came inside the same box and they were all loose and moving around during transit). I don't find it fair to lower the rating of a product because of poor packaging, therefore I am (here) rating the product only. I really hope the pencils are not broken inside as some tips were broken.

Quality
Driver made sure box was protected from rain on porch. Colored pencil’s arrived in perfect condition and on time. I have multiple sets of colored pencils and decided to order Derwent to finish this drawing. I was unable to layer any additional color with pencils on hand. I read the reviews and decided to give these a try. They are as described. Easy to add additional layers with more vivid color saturation. Wish I would have purchased these years ago.

Compliments the Derwent Lightfast 100ct
Summary: I've attached photos of the Derwent Colorsoft 72ct swatched on Ohuhu mixed media paper and the Derwent Lightfast 100ct seatched on the same paper, photo taken with the same phone camera under the dame florescent lamp.I got the Colorsoft to compliment the Lightfasts, which are oil based and very Mesa Earthy or Planetary with a focus on Mars. I love them but needed a complimentary set of colors. More primary focused. The colorsoft has more purples and pinks in its palette and I'm pleased to note that all the greys are different shades. For anyone wondering, I'd recommend sharpening before swatching or coloring because the pencils do have a coating over the presharpened core. This used the Dahle 133 and they behaved very well. They aren't a very strong tip and don't hold a point very well. I'd venture to say the colorsoft crumble and break worse than prismacolor. As the core is majority wax, you won't get as many layers as the lightfast before wax bloom starts. They are beautiful pencils with the nice thick barrel Derwent is known for. I don't know that these would replace prismacolors but they would definitely compliment prismas. Soft, creamy core that spreads on paper like butter. The package arrived in tact and a plastic film was over the tin and pencils. That said, one of the greyed lavender pencil tips was broken upon arrival. Not devastatingly so, but it gives an idea of how easily the tips will break.Excited to use these with my other pencils!

Love these
I got these pencils because I also bought the Derwent Drawing Pencils and I loved how soft and creamy they were. When looking at comparisons for colored pencils these seemed the softest or closest to the drawing pencils but with more colors. I actually prefer these to my Faber Castell colored pencils.

Great Color Pencil Set!
With the name Derwent you expect to get a great set of colored pencils and these do not disappoint. They are soft, hence the name, so they blend well and also work great with my other pencils, Prismacolors, Polychromos, Lyra, Blick, dry Inktense and FC Albrecht Durer, Marco Renior, ect. Though Derwent pencils may cost a bit more at mid range price, though less expensive than Polychromos, remember the round barrel is large at 4mm and for me I find them comfortable to hold, more so than thin hexagon pencils. They are not scratchy feeling at all and because they are soft, if your on the heavy handed side like I tend to be, you might have to sharpen a bit more if you need a super fine pointy tip. I would highly recommend these to anyone who loves this medium and would suggest purchasing here at Amazon. If you watch the price, you can get a great deal, I paid $12 more here a few months ago than the $65 price shown today. I think they are worth the investment of the extra cost than purchasing a cheaper but much less quality set of pencils, even for coloring book addicts, like any task or "job", you will find yourself enjoying it so much more, example coloring or creating a masterpiece, when you have the right tools. FYI this is my own opinion, I haven't earned the privilege of receiving free or discounted products on Amazon so I WAS NOT given these free or discounted but purchased with my hard earned money and I still would highly recommend these to the casual coloring book artist or the professional artists. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do, give them a try I don't think you will regret. Happy Creating!

Love these colored pencils
I was going to buy the more expensive colored pencil of this brand. But heard a lot of good things about coloursoft and they work beautifully and did not hurt my wallet as much.
