A replacement for a 22 year old Kitchenaid mixer
Our first Kitchenaid mixer lasted 22 years before it died a sudden death. This was to be a replacement. The cons ; 1.) purchased the unit when the item was first listed so the price as in the $340. range. 2.) the unit is much lighter than the old mixer so it is easier to handle.....3.) the cover for the mixer bowl allows ingredients to be added easily...4) the mixer is very quiet. Now the cons....1.) the wait time from order to filling order was two months ( and we noticed the price kept increasing every few days ) We were lucky to get at a discount.......2.) the unit is much lighter than the old mixer so it has a degree of vibration in the mixer head. The head has natural play to accommodate the lighter weight.........4.) the cover of the bowl does not clip-on, it is a bit out in sizing, no big deal because the cover is on only till ingredients are added.....Overall, if this unit lasts 22 years I will be very happy....somehow I doubt that. However, it is a good step up from the competition if purchased at a discount.

Prime Days...not worth it!
What I actually got billed on my credit card was the same as I would have paid at Costco. I thought I had bought this for $60 cheaper but not on my statement. The delivery guy was disappointed..."I could have made some money on this". Don't get me wrong...the product itself has stood the test of time. I've used a Kitchenaid mixer since I was 10...46 years ago worth the money...getting lied to was not cool...$339 turned into $399 on my statement.

Not what I expected
I waited almost a year to get this stand mixer but quality is not as I expected. have it now for 10 months. Terrible mixer for bread doughs or even a large size pizza dough. The tilt head sort of vibrates when using the dough hook for pizza and the same when using the beater to make a double batch of cookies. this is my first kitchenmaid mixer so not sure if it this is normal. Motor heats up if running the mixer for more than 4 minutes. Sadly wish I had opted for another brand that could handle doughs more efficiently.

Mixer
I really like my Kitchenaid Mixer!! The 1st thing l made was a meal with raw ingredients. When l added my raspberries they mixed into the other ingredients really good!I found 1 whole raspberry when l was eating it!I didn't realise they'd get mixed so good.I'm going to buy a Stainless Steel paddle instead of the 1 it comes with. Some people say that the paddle doesn't reach 100% to the edge and the bottom of the bowl. Mine does. When you buy this mixer, you are getting the smaller 1, not the bigger one.I'm so happy they sent me the smaller 1.I appreciate l got a handle on the bowl too.The bowl is a little too heavy to clean, if you don't have a dishwasher.I had a Breville Stand Mixer once and it wasn't too heavy at all.
