I love this stuff, great for quick effects on a budget. I’ve used them in life casts to make quick face rips, melts, and even a full fake head.It has a weird cheesy smell when warmed but you can add a small amount of essential oils to help just don’t add too much.It will deteriorate with water so be aware it might be one and done but if kept clean and mostly dry you can reheat and keep using.If you do a slip cast with latex in a mold first and then add gelatin to fill you can than paint and maintain the gelatin.

Product was very small for how much it was worth. Which is my fault- I didn’t realize it was super duper tiny. For cheaper go to Mehron website. I have used the product before with no issues- so it’s just the size that was abit shocking.

Easy to work with made myself gills out of it

Gelatine based special effects makeup. Mehron does it again with another high quality product that is consistent and easy to get good results with. Using Barrier spray helps this makeup tolerate your body heat better and on hot days or under stage lights it is a known weakness of gelatine makeup. Under these conditions it can start to melt. However the effects you can produce are more realistic and translucent than anything you can do with a foam or latex appliance and it is far cheaper and easier to use than a silicone product for one-off effects or even edges of appliances.

I love this company! It's just too bad that it came in this condition!
