This is a good systemic enzyme supplement. Has a casing that helps the enzymes get to where they need to be released in your digestive system. Healthy option for battling biofilms and digestive issues. Doesn't bother me at all. No side effects.

About a week after starting SerraDefend I experienced one health setback after the other starting Aug 30 to the present time: I’ve been in the ER 3 times: first visit found out I was slightly anemic and sodium and chloride slightly low; second ER visit had to go on antibiotics due to small knife wound in palm and third ER visit went on Acyclovir for shingles which I still have and while they continue to slowly spread they don’t hurt and only mildly itch or burn from time to time. Given all of this stress in my body I have not had any candida flare ups! Along with Balance One SerraDefend I also take Balance One Probiotics and Balance One Liver One as part of the Candida Diet set forth by Lisa Richards. The list is very long for things in my body that have healed since beginning the candida diet just over 2 months ago; I’m feeling better than I have in MANY years, despite all the recent health challenges!

I don't currently know whether this product did the job or not. But after a little while, I started having chest pain not long after taking it, so I had to stop.Edit: I'm going to add a star just for the way they came through for me after this review. Some folks don't respond well to systemic enzymes, I knew that was possible, and that ended up being the case for me. The company reached out to me graciously and provided excellent customer service when I posted my review. So, be assured, that they will be there for you when it comes to their product, and it's an investment you can risk. It might help and it might not, but they'll take care of their customer.

I’ve had candida for a long time and SerraDefend is essential for breaking the biofilm so the antifungals can do their thing. Good stuff

I took this before I went to be according to instructions and woke up with severe stomach cramps that last a couple of hours. I was thinking it could have been something I ate, so tried it again the next night. Same thing the next night, stomache cramps again for 2 hours. It's not returnable through Amazon either, you have to call someone and at that point I just gave up and took the loss.

I love Serra Defend. I am a diabetic with moderate to severe Gastroparesis. I started using Serra Defend a few months ago and I feel SO much better! I don't have a constant feeling of fullness and nausea anymore. I take just one pill per day, right after I wake up, on an empty stomach.I have taken other digestive enzyme supplements, but Serra Defend is the one that works for me.I am only one person, and everyone is different so I don't know if Serra Defend will work for others, but for me, it has truly been a blessing.

When I first started using this I loved it, but there are a couple of things that I don't like. First is it's cost and second is I have to take it a half hour before I eat once a day. I don't always remember to take it on an empty stomach with 12 oz of water. It has to get into your gut to work and I am not a sedentary person. 12 oz of water is not always convenient. I found one that I take with every meal and the cost is extremely reasonable from a trusted company, plus it works fantastic. So I am changing brands.
