Dentistry in a Nutshell: A Practical Guide to Clinical Dentistry

Just received my book today. I had borrowed it before from our university library but realised this is a book to keep and did just that by ordering it. Looking forward to using it in practice!

I’ve been using this book for about a month now and I’ve been really enjoying it! As a dental student, I find all the flowcharts super useful and the layout makes it easy to refresh my memory of important clinical procedures/equipment/considerations before appointments. It’s also helping me write more cohesive clinical notes!I highly recommend this book to other students studying dental courses, e.g. dentistry/dental therapy & hygiene, nursing. I can imagine myself continuing to use this book well after I qualify as well as it really is a dental bible of what you should know for clinic!

Absolutely love this book! It's honestly saving me on clinics. I'm a final year dental student and it just has everything so beautifully laid out in flowcharts. Whenever I can't remember anything specific, I open it up to the topic I want and it's all written right there.I think it's such a difficult task to cram in everything relevant in dentistry into one book but this book has done such an amazing job at that. Doesn't have any of that extra stuff no one really needs to know if you know what I mean.100% recommend it, it's my new favourite book!

This book is absolutely amazing. It’s so well written and laid out from the chapters, to the flowcharts, colours, tables and pictures. I don’t understand why something like this wasn’t written sooner. As a newly graduated foundation dentist, I was naturally nervous about starting work and wanted to find something that could act as a guide for everything I should know and I’ve finally found it. It’s literally a dental bible and a must have for all dentists. The price did put me off at first, but after purchasing I can say it’s 100% worth it.

I absolutely love this book! The lay out makes everything so easy to read and understand and I love how everything is presented as step-by-step flow charts. I have just started seeing patients and this book has been so useful in helping me recap topics I am unsure of or procedures I have never carried out before. I can't recommend it enough!

A fantastic resource presented in a unique format. Covering every single aspect of general dentistry and beyond. Simple flow diagrams which make it easy to know step by step exactly what is needed and how it should be done. A great revision and reference guide and practical handbook. Thank you to the authors for putting in the hard work to bring this into production. I wish I had something like this when I first graduated, it definitely would have helped with the nerves.

I bought this book for my wife whose a dentist and I am delighted that she is absolutely loving this book. She says that now she has all the information on her fingertips, book is clear , concise and organised really well!!

Perfect for dental students who have patients, this book is the perfect guide to refer to for a systematic approach to almost all clinical conditions that we would see at this stage in our career. My favourite part is the list of burs and their uses as I very easily get them mixed up and have been looking for a clear guide for a while.
