Seemed rater expensive for such a small amount of product, but they do work well and get your fire goingquickly. Happy with the purchased product just not necessarily with the cost for the amount you receive.

I have a variety of fire making stuff. I make some tinder myself (cotton balls with petroleum jelly, and wax coated jute twine), and I have bought a variety of commercial products.These are not quite as convenient for getting the fire started (I use a fire steel to start my fires instead of matches), but they work very well as a transition from the initial small flame, to the big roaring fire. If you want, you can scrape off some shavings and light them with a fire steel, but I prefer just adding them to the tinder that I've already ignited.Also, these have that wonderful, pine-scented aroma. It's kind of nice using this instead of a smelly chemical product.

Small enough to slip a few in your camping kit. They light very easily. Natural and probably non-toxic.

Simple and efficient way to start a fire in my wood stove.

I was a but dubious initially spending such money on a box of wood strips. I'm glad I did though, since it made our BBQ a breeze. The wood lights immediately taking to the stuff that it's coated in. The two bits I used burned for a good minute and they successfully caught the coals. It's definitely better than messing around with paper. They are going to last a while too. I'm keeping them wrapped in a bag in the box in the garden for when I need them. Recommended!

The fatwood I recieved was poor and very inconsistent. Not enough resin in the wood ment they would go out shortly after being lit & not be able to help with building up a flame to start a good fire. Personally I'd avoid and use a lighting gel. Much cheaper and much more effective.
