Beautiful illustrations
Disclaimer: I bought my copy used, so take this a grain of salt.Having prior experience with manga, I wasn't thrown off by what we consider "reading backwards" at all. Truth be told I used this as a way to introduce my kids both to manga and OoT as well. We enjoyed the characterizations, and it gave me a chance to explain to my kids what the differences between the manga and game were because I fully plan on introducing my kids to these games asap. They love BotW, so... Immerse them as much as possible. My only complaint is that the full color pages come out easily. Something about the binding and glossy paper didn't mesh well, granted as I said I bought used and this book isn't new in any capacity. The quality complaint aside, it's a minor inconvenience. Everything else was engaging and we'll executed.

Fantastic Zelda Story
First off, its manga, which is supposed to be read right to left. Many negative reviews left on this are because of people thinking it's a manufacturing error.I'm not a manga fan in any way, but I am a longtime fan of the Zelda series. This is a wonderful retelling of one of my favorite games. This book contains both volume 1 and 2 of the original ocarina of time manga, plus a few short bonus stories. The first fifteen or so pages are in color.Note that It isn't entirely faithful to the game, adding different events and changing how some things occur but that is to be expected. You cannot expect a perfect retelling of the game, detailing every game element, because it would be uninteresting and redundant in this format (almost like reading a strategy guide). It instead tells the story in an entertaining way that works for this format. I'm currently enjoying it a lot and will be purchasing all five of the legendary edition books pretty quickly. Also note, the only reason this isn't five stars is that I did have to get a replacement copy. When I received my first copy the cover art and many of the pages were printed crooked. However, I went through amazon and got a replacement in two days (along with the Majora's mask/link to the past book).I've included the photo comparison of both copies I recieved along with the page detailing how to read manga from the back of Hyrule Historia.

Very good, divergent, but really good.
So this is a manga first off, so it's left to right. Ocarina of time was my 2nd Zelda game and I liked a lot. So when I saw that it was a manga I wanted it. It's pretty good, but it doesn't follow the story strictly, but that actually adds depth. It has a bit of violence, like when volvagias head is lopped off. But aside from that it was very good. 15/10.

Very Nice!
First off, I have a picky nature. I feel like I would give this a 9.5 out of 10 (95%) considering how much I really love it and precisely. The story, in my opinion, is better, yet more developed than the game is. Though it's easier said considering this book was published like 8-10 years post-game giving the authors time to think. Still, the story is awesome and my personal favorite about it is the relationship between Link and Zelda (ZeLink). The game probably agrees with it too but on a "lighter" scale. It relates to Skyward Sword in a way since Link saves Hyrule only because he...Zelda (sorry, I'm trying not to spoil). The book also has great humor to go along with the touching scripting of the story. The only drawback that this book has is that it has a couple of plotholes. These include Impa not being introduced as a sage yet suddenly appearing in the chamber of sages. Another hole is when Link enters the Water Temple out of the blue. At first, he is headed to the desert but apparently decided to drop by this temple with no transition between travels. A third one could be at the very end when he becomes a child again. Can't tell if Navi or Zelda used THOSE words.

A must have.
I have never gotten into Manga but I did watch a YouTube review of an office design and the person I was watching had the entire set on the bookshelf as the person was a fan of Zelda and had a good eye for design aesthetics. Having the entire collection as shelf decor was my main drive to start off with this. But I too am a Zelda fan and this is a fun way to learn and read about the story line of how Zelda started. The price found on Amazon is better than in any bookstore. This is a must have.

A+ Everything, But It's All Upside Down
The media could not be loaded. So happy to finally have this game's manga in my collection! Only problem (that doesn't bother ME, but might bother some of you) was that the book was, for some reason, printed upside down AND backwards. As per usual with manga, you read right to left instead of left to right, and while it looks that way with the cover, you open to the pages and it's the Afterwards Author's note! Which means that when starting the book, you're staring at the synopsis instead of the cover! Then there's the matter of having the cover upright and opening the book to see all the pages upside down. The pages themselves are all high quality and the story is great! Something jus seems to have gone wrong with the manufacturing/binding. Love it, wouldn't dream of returning it, and going to read it again and again!

Fantastic
Be warned for those not aware that this is a Japanese comic like book so you read it from right to left and yes it is all comic panels and illustrations and mainly in black and white. But also be warned that once you get used to it you will find a fantastic, intriguing, beautifully and excitedly illustrated story providing a lot of detail on the backstory of the Ocarina of time period and you will want to spend all your time reading it. It’s a time waster in the best way.My 5 year old son loves Link and I read this to him before bed every night. It’s great, I read the words and panel to him and he follows along with the illustrations and we have nearly finished it even though it’s long. It’s held his attention and he can’t wait to read it in bed and he has enjoyed it as much as I have. A very special book creating special memories. Also arrived very quickly and in perfect condition.

The book itself is great but beware when purchasing from Amazon.
I love the book! The art is gorgeous, the characters are likeable and the story is really well structured. But be warned, I’ve bought books from Amazon plenty of times and, while not always, a lot of them have often come with a few small scratches or sometimes even a few proper marks.Thankfully this time it was basically perfect so no complaints here.Happy with the product.Good job Amazon.

Its all black and white, and backwards.
All pages and artwork in the book is black and white (not even greyscale, just black and white outlines) in comic book style (I thought it was more of a story book) and is printed backwards, like as if you were reading a book printed in Arabic or Hebrew. Not impressed at all. The artwork is nice though, but a splash of colour, even if it was just on some pages, would have done this book wonders.

Brilliant book
Fantastic book, black and white and explains the Ocarina of Time. Me and my daughter both love reading the cook/comic. Took a while to understand but that is due to reading the book backwards.
