Lock Docta Dreadlocks Tool by Dread Head HQ

This is seriously the best tool ever, and I wish I'd had one when I first started my dreads! Helps me work frizz in faster than my previous needle and thread method, and doesn't jerk hairs back out the way a crochet hook does.BUT...(And this is the reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me)...THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE!You HAVE to be prepared to go cautious, and break a couple of needles while learning how to use it. I did break a few (maybe 3-4) before really getting the hang of it. Now that I do, I haven't broken a needle in over a year. You MUST keep the needle straight, and don't attempt to force it too deep into particularly strong locks. If you can be smart and have some patience, this will easily become your favorite piece of equipment.

Today is one month exactly since I stared locking up my hair. I have long straight hair and I back combed, twisted, ripped, rolled and crocheted my hair. I had alot of lose hair at the roots and tried two other'lose-hair ' tools before I bought the lock docta. Nothing compares, this tool had helped me so much. I read the reviews about how fragile it was. I found a video tutoriAL and used it as directed with no problem. I'm so grateful for this design, I feel good about my hair again. Before lock docta I was starting to regret my locks-now I'm prout to show them off!

This thing works! There are a few things that I would like to say about it though, before you use it. First, watch the video on YouTube. Second, BE CAREFUL! The needle is very sharp and you eventually will poke yourself. Also, since it's so thin, it will break if you aren't being careful. However, they do send you 3 needles for when it does happen. Lastly, follow all instructions on the video and BE PATIENT. I didn't completely fix my dreads on the first try. Keep with it and don't go too fast. Like all aspects of great dreads, it takes time!

its a felting needle. i was hoping it was something different, but its not. in fact, its a flimsy version of a felting needle which broke, and was flimsy, just like the loc sculpta and very poorly manufactured. Broke withn 5 minutes of my using it.

I usually never leave reviews but this product needs one.....it is amazing...I have starter locks, 4 mnths in and even though I am palm rolling like crazy I have a lot of bumps and loops. When I got this product I immediately put it to use and OMG it works wonders. Use it like the video says and the bumps and loops go away....no problems with breakage so I am not understanding all the reviews that says theirs broke. Use it like the video suggests....straight in an out! This is a great product!
