Work well, HUGE BAGS
Most important thing I have to say, is that there is ZERO sludge at the bottom of my brews and these work extremely well. I’d say these bags are maybe a little too big for a half pound of grounds, but for a full pound these are probably perfect! Luckily size doesn’t really matter (at least that’s what she tells me) or affect its functionality.

Perfect for large cold brew batches.
These bags have worked out great for making 5 gallon batches of cold brew coffee. I fill 2 of these bags per patch and I haven’t had any break open or leak coffee grounds yet.

Keeps coffee grounds out of large coffee percolator..
I bought this to make coffee in large percolator-type coffee urns…. They did the job Very Well. The string-ties are a bit troublesome for a mans large fingers…. but are strong and by wrapping them around the neck of the bag and tying them with overhand knots…. they did the job Exactly as I wished. They imparted NO flavor to the coffee…. Happy Customer.

The easiest way to make cold brew. No mess!
I don't understand why people buy "cold brew coffee makers." It is literally just adding water to coffee grounds. With those machines, you still have to deal with getting the used coffee grounds out of the metal filter, then cleaning it. Often, they don't make a very big amount, either. These are so perfect. No mess at all. They are huge. I could make 3 gallons (at least) at one time with the bags I bought the 8x12 size, but I usually make 1 gallon at a time.Recipe:12 ounces of coffee (which is convenient because it is often sold in packs of 12 ounces). Put it in the bag and tie it.Put 1 gallon (4 quarts) water in a container with an opening big enough to put the filled bag in easily (you'll have to take it out after it is soaking wet).Either leave it on the counter for 12 hours, or put it in the fridge for about 15 hours. (Adjust if it is not strong enough for you.)When time is up, remove the bag, gently squeeze, but not too hard, or too much sediment will come out.Pour into bottles with tight-fitting lids for storage. It will last in the fridge for 2 weeks.Tip: leave the string hanging out of the container while it is brewing. You don't want the top of the bag to be submerged, or some of the coffee grounds will escape. You can't get it to fully close just by tying the strings. I usually wrap the string around the top of the bag to try to make it more closed up.

Excellent bags to use for cold brew coffee.
I load these up with 4 oz. coarse grind coffee after inserting the bag into a 64 oz. mason jar filter mesh cup. Slowly pour 48 oz. of water through the grounds and then put it in the refrigerator for 18 hrs. The end result is a clean, delicious non-concentrate coffee with a strong but smooth flavor.

Easy to use, Makes great coffee, easier to clean up than a mesh strainer.
Use it with a gallon sized container for coldbrew. More than big enough for this. In fact, it could probably be half the size and still work for a gallon. So much easier to throw the used bag away, than having to clean the hard to reach crevices of the mesh strainer i used before.

Easy to use
I use these in a 1-1/2 qt. plastic pitcher to make a little more than 1 qt. of cold brew at a time. They're tough and don't tear, filter well, and have no perceptible effect on taste.
