Five stars for functionality but -2 stars for how sharp the edges are. I gave myself a pretty gnarly cut on my finger trying to get these out of the packet.N.B. These only work for sinks with larger drains than normal. It’d be worth measuring your drain to see if this is going to be too big or not. Luckily this one fits in the little sink but not in my main one. But that’s not a fault of the product, it’s mine for not checking before I bought it.

I bought this to replace a broken hair trap in the shower tray. It fits perfectly and certainly captures the hair. However the holes in it are a little too small to cope with the flow of water from my shower. Therefore I am standing in a shower tray of water. I am sure it would be better used in a sink.

I love these. My kitchen sink had one of those multi strainer/plug things but it kept on getting stuck down no matter what I did with the screw in the centre, and my long hair loves to wind round anything it can in the shower drain. With these, water flows easily through whatever is caught in the filters, and I no longer end up with hair clogging my drains. Amazing. I will be purchasing more for any other sinks they will fit in.

I have a very tiny drain and sadly even though it said it’s depth is 18mm it is ever so slightly to tall for my sink which causes one side of it to raise when inserted. It would work great if your drain is a bit deeper than mine. The wholes are quite small which makes it great for catching small bits of food but it also gets pretty blocked as soon as the bottom layer it covered with food bits. Other than that, works well!

Amazing. Bought for our kitchen sink, previous items floated when we emptied the bowl. This one stays put, has a fine mesh so all debris gets caught and stops drain blocking. Measurements clear on item description- measured our plug hole prior to buying. Significantly cheaper than previously bought far inferior products

The depth of the strainer is too deep for a typical UK sink drain causing the flange to stand above the base of the sink. This would of course allow debris to bypass the filter. Given the low cost of these I was not going to bother returning them. Instead, turning then upside down onto a hard surface and a few carful clonks with hammer bent the filter baskets down enough to allow them to sit properly in the sink waste outlet.

The great fit and small holes on the perforated steel basket are small enough to stop the smallest food particles entering the sink drain. Rice, small crumbs and mash sludge rinsed from plates and saucepans are caught in the bowl. The whole assembly can then be lifted for emptying. The strainers are very study in construction compared with wire mesh. Having 2 in the set is handy, one working i the sink the second being washed in the dishwasher.

For something this cheap I was expecting it to be quite flimsy but it’s actually well made and sturdy with a decent fit. Just make sure you measure before ordering as this is quite deep so fit for a specific type of sink
