This beautiful pendant necklace features a rounded cylindrical Connemara Marble bead with a small Diamond shaped bead with Celtic Knots at the bottom. It comes with an 18" long sterling silver chain. Comes packaged on a cardboard backer card with the story of Connemara Marble printed on it. Diamond shaped bead measures approximately 1/4" wide (6.3 mm). Made in Ireland. Dating from the Pre-Cambrian era Connemara is over 600 million years old. It is found only in a remote area in the West of Ireland. It is a Metamorphic rock formed when limestone was heated under pressure, producing a hard granular rock. Its unique green color symbolizes Ireland and is caused by the presence of various elements.
