All the benefits of milk thistle is a potent fermented form
If anyone is thinking about adding milk thistle to their diet then this fermented version of it could be worth considering, because the fermentation process tends to not only make the herb more potent but adds its own healthful compounds, creating an environment that is particularly bioavailable and nutrient-dense, with possible advantages over its non-fermented counterparts. Milk thistle tends to work away quietly in the background so results aren’t quite as noticeable as perhaps, say, something like adaptogenic mushrooms, but that doesn’t mean to say it works any less. This is what I find with this product.There’s quite a few benefits associated with taking milk thistle, and as this is also organic and only the herb itself (apart from the vegetable cellulose capsule), it’s a worthy addition to my supplement regime. My box states the benefits as being a powerful spring restorative as opposed to what it states in the photograph of supporting the demands of a modern lifestyle, but either way, it’s a product I’m happy to take, and I think, worth the price.

High Quality Supplement to Detox Your Liver and Support Recovery from Overindulgence!
This is the ideal supplement to be taking over winter (although not for months on end). It will help anyone who needs to detox after a hectic season of parties. It supports liver function, and I have been taking it (in batches of a few months at a time) for years. I would recommend it generally, and even more so, this version of the supplement. This is organic - that's a very good start. It's fermented - and we are learning more and more how fermented foods benefit our gut microbiome.I'm going to need to take this for another month or two to be sure I receive the benefits I have done before, but everyone on a detox of some kind (whether New Year-related or simply for your health) could benefit from taking milk thistle to support their liver to cope with the detox and then healing itself afterwards.I'm impressed with this company and will more than likely try out their other supplements too.

Fermented organic Milk Thistle for more bioavailability
I take Milk Thistle daily so was intrigued with a fermented version. The capsules were normal size and easy to swallow and had a good expiry date.These promise to be more potent than the standard Milk Thistle as the fermentation process adds their own nutrients and makes the herb more bioavailable, giving them a bit of a boost. Suitable for Vegans too.The recommended dose is 1capsule twice a day so will give a months supply if sticking to the recommended dose. Obviously more expensive than standard Milk Thistle capsules but if they work better then it's worth it. As funds are tight at the moment I'm only taking 1 a day so they last longer.

Great
Although a bit more expensive than my usual milk thistle supplement, the fermentation may help aid digestion to a greater degree, as well as improving overall health.

Great high quality product
I really like how this milk thistle is fermented and organic. The capsules have a smell similar to green yoghurt which isn’t surprising with them been made from kefir.I’ve used milk thistle many times before so it’s difficult to say if these are working any differently. I take milk thistle to support my liver health, which in turn helps with my sleep.Capsules are very easy to swallow, taken twice a day with food, which is 2 a day total.I’d recommend milk thistle / this product to anyone.

Exceptional, especially during periods of excess (food and drinks)
I was born and raised in a European country that has a long tradition of pickling and fermenting almost everything, from fruits to cabbage and cauliflower. Nevertheless, it is an intricate process, one that I have never come across in any other country. Fermentation supports immunity and the gut to the highest degree.In recent years, the application of traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) by submerged fermentation of probiotics has become a hot topic that widens the boundaries of TCMs. Microbes and their metabolic products can regulate the bioactive products of TCMs; consequently, there is a close relationship between microorganisms and TCMs. Previous studies have shown that fermentation of TCMs mediated by microorganisms can synthesise important microbial and vegetative secondary metabolites, which degrade macromolecular organic substances into small active compounds and increase the therapeutic effect. Silymarin is a mixture of flavonolignans contained in the coats of milk thistle seeds, which have a variety of pharmacological activities. Silymarin can prevent liver cell degeneration, promote liver purification, improve detoxification, and also promote the repair of damaged liver cells. Silymarin mainly scavenges free radicals through anti-lipid peroxidation, increases the level of glutathione (G-SH) in the liver, and, therefore, exerts a hepatoprotective effect.I take milk thistle as a liver protector and adjuvant during periods of food and alcohol excess, such as in December. I have much respect for the plant and fermentation processes. I drink kefir on a regular basis to support my gut and immunity. I am beyond pleased with the Living Nutrition milk thistle!

Easy to take with no after. taste
These are decent supplements that are easy to swallow and don’t have any over powering after taste. You need to take 2 a day, so this is a months worth, and I’ve had no side effects form them.I take them for my liver and I’m really happy with the quality and my liver enzymes have stayed down while taking them.Overall I’m really happy with this supplement and would definitely recommend it.
