3/16" is thin
I was replacing some old weather stripping. I remembered that I needed something thin, especially around the lock. I had forgotten just how variable the gaps were. I need something very thin in one place and a good deal thicker on the other side.In the end, I ran a double layer in some places. It seems to have worked. In terms of installation, it works better if you plan plenty of time and go slow, instead of hoping that you can just take it and pop it up there in a minute.

Good sticky stuff!
My old house (1909) has lately settled a bit more, and three of my kitchen drawers started opening on their own in response. Since the house isn't level, most of the standard solutions for this problem don't work. I decided to try a line of this stuff across the top front interior face of the drawers, to see if it would provide just enough cush to keep the drawers from rolling open. It worked! Moreover, the adhesive seems to be holding well, despite the lateral shear every time the drawers open and close. The compression seems just right too, meaning "moderate compression" just as the package claims. I realize these issues will vary with each application, but hopefully this review may help someone.

BOTH SIDES ARE ADHESIVE WTF
If I wanted to seal my door shut, I would've bought caulk.I recently refinished my front double doors and installed this weather stripping exactly according to the instructions - cleaned all surfaces and painted, next day ran foam tape down the door stop molding. When I went back to open the door, it was sealed shut. The "non-adhesive" side from which I removed the paper backing had stuck on the swing door as securely as the adhesive side stuck to the molding. Instead of a weather-proof double door I had a janky wall with knob. But the foam tape has so many positive reviews, this has to be my fault... maybe I didn't let the paint dry long enough? It was a struggle but I was able to force the door open and start over. I scraped off the foam tape from both sides, cleaned again, and repainted. This time I waited two days before applying the weather stripping. Again when I went back to open it, the door was firmly sealed shut. Forced it open again after a 5 minute tug-of-war, and half the foam tape is now glued to the swing door. Not only did the weather stripping not work, I now have to scrape and re-paint my door a third time before trying my luck with something else. Small waste of money, huge waste of time. 0 stars, 1 finger.

Warmer house, less spiders
I needed something to help stop drafts around my front door, and this foam tape absolutely did the trick. It was super easy to install (even for someone who is home-improvement challenged like I am) and there is a noticeable difference in how well the temperature holds in my living room. As an added bonus, I have seen less spiders and other creepy crawlies in the house since putting this around the door; the cold air isn't the only thing this foam tape will keep out!One thing to keep in mind: the tape will compress, but if you have a deadbolt, you may need to use a little extra force to get it locked after installing the tape. I've had the foam around the door for about a month, and it is easier to get the deadbolt thrown now than it was initially, but still requires two hands. For me, the benefits of having less heat loss (and less bugs) far outweigh any inconvenience in getting the deadbolt locked; if you would have any issues using a two-handed approach to getting the door open and closed however, this might not be the best option for you.

Glad I bought this
This stuff is nice. It's easy to install, it's cheap, it seems like it works. I wish it were a bit stickier, but as a renter, I do appreciate something that will come off easily when it's time to leave.

Good foam tape for the price
I used this foam tape around my front door, and it does a decent job of sealing the edges. It does seem to take a beating though over time, so I anticipate having to replace it eventually.

Heat savings in the winter time - easy to apply
Can't live without this stuff in the winter time. I place this all along the edge of my doors and windows. I can tell the heating saved with a heat gun. Makes at least a 5-10 degree difference. Very easy to apply. Just peel off and apply with your fingers. No special tools needed. Costs about the same online as in the big box stores.

Not only is it great for keeping undwanted rain and sand from getting in
Recently shipped this product to Philippines where I'm building a vacation home, I'm using it for insulation around doors and windows for added protection during the rainy season when storms pound the beach house. Not only is it great for keeping undwanted rain and sand from getting in, its reduced the amount of A/C needed to cool the rooms due to the extra insulation value.
