Great for QUELL unit!
After reading reviews of this product, I ordered the electrode gel and it works great! I have a QUELL (portable, rechargable TENS unit), and the replacement electrodes are $30. I tried the gel on an electrode strip that was getting too worn out to use and ZAP! It works like new. Now I coat each electrode with a dab of gel before strapping on the QUELL unit each day. Not sure how many more extra days I will get to use the QUELL before I will have to switch to new electrodes, but I have already gotten an extra week (the electrode strips are only supposed to last two weeks). I am so pleased with this gel!

A Skinny Jay Review!!! Used with my heart rate monitor
I use this to enhance the connection of my Polar H7 heart rate monitor. This tube is huge, and I only use a pea-sized dab of the gel and smear it across the sensor area. You really do not need much at all and at that rate this tube is going to last me a few hundred training sessions at least.I cleans right off of both my skin and the heart rate monitor strap with clean water.I like that it is thick and does not move around from where it is placed. It has never run or dripped while I have been using it, remember you only need a tiny amount.I have used heart rate monitors for years and I wish that I had tried this gel years ago. It makes the HRM work immediately with no waiting till your skin has warmed up and you start to perspire a little. It probably would have made my results more accurate too since I noticed that sometimes my old HRM would loose transmission sometimes. With this the readings are perfect every time. Love this stuff
Thank God! FINALLY.My Garmin Forerunner, I decided, just hates me. After a grueling workout it tells me I've burned 38 calories. Tried wetting it, all kinds of ways, I yelled at it, threatened it, called it names, put it on time out, considered giving it to a GPS/HRM orphanage....nothing worked. I'm obsessed with the numbers...distance, time, calories....so I decided to try this stuff out before I ended up in therapy. So when I tried this, I wasn't sure how much to put on. I under-applied the first time and ended up with another "38 calorie" burn. I thought I'd try it one more time before I took to drinking heavily. The second time, I gooped it on, I honestly wasn't expecting much. After my run/bike workout, the results were in. 2,300 calories burned.Alrighty then. We have a winner!!!!!Garmin and I are getting along splendidly these days, our relationship is strong, honest and expressive. As long as Parker Gel is on the electrodes, we are a force to be seen. Love this stuff!!

found that water emersion works better
I use this gel for exercising with a Polar Heart Rate Monitor. It worked well for the first couple of weeks of use, but then I started having trouble getting the HR Monitor to pick up my heart rate reliably. I found that wetting the electrodes of the heart rate monitor was necessary before applying the gel in order to get a consistent reading right from the start of my exercising workout. Then i found that by holding the electrodes under running water i did not even need the gel at all. THat is the trick - you have to get the elctrodes fully emersed in water, not just damp on the surface. Get them soaking wet through and through. I have found that doing this works every time (for over a year now) and i have not used the gel since. Try it, you might just discover that the gel isn't necessary, and water emersion works even more reliably than the gel. Note: when i am outside and not near running water, i just douse the electrodes with a little water from my water bottle.

Saved my Polar T31!
i stopped using my elliptical trainer over the holidays (if you count labor day to New Years eve as the holidays)! I realized my folly when I exceeded all previous records for weight gain, including two pregnancies. So I dusted off my Fitness X8 Elliptical Trainer and strapped on my chest strap. The Elliptical detected no heart rate, so I got off and dampened it with a moistened paper towel. Nothing. Gave it a rinse under the sink and slapped it on again. Nothing. So I came here and ordered a new chest strap. Per other reviewer's recommendations, I ordered the Spectra Electrode gel at the same time. They arrived the same day. I applied a teeny dab to the contact points on the back of the strap. No go. So I applied a bigger glob. Machine detected it immediately. This piqued my curiosity, so I got out the supposedly defective belt. It was ALIVE!All it needed was better contact and the gel provided that.I am passing the new belt on to a family member that I share the equipment with. I will be re-ordering when we use this up.

this gel conducts any charge
The gel is smooth, is thick enough to stay in place, it remains in gel form for over a half an hour exposed to air. It can be used with metals to conduct. Silverand and stainless steel. Silver contacts soldering into clips for the ear lobes or other areas, use your imagination. Punched areas of the body can have metal clips connected to ems or tens for thereaputic or fun. After placing conductors on cover the area with Spectra 360 and keep most adding more till you are done, this again will give you constant results and develope a good baseline. Keeping a log is a good idea, what conductors you are using, locations placed, duration of treatment, setting on ems or tens, the desired result and on 1-10 scale did it meet expected results.

Non greasy, gel stays put does not run, tube is huge.
Bought this at the same time as my polar heart rate monitor. FT1. I had heard others had issues with heart rate monitors being inaccurate until they became sweaty. I put a small dab of this gel on each contact of my monitor everyday before my activity. I have never had one issue with the monitor giving strange readings, which I attribute to this gel.As others have stated the tube itself is huge. It will last me easily a year or more, with daily use. The gel stays right in place on my transmitter until i apply it to my chest. This means it ends up where i need it and not everywhere else. When i am done with my exercise, I never feel greasy, and I just clean up any residue with water.

Use it for my HRM strap for cold runs.
Use it to help with accuracy on my garmin heart rate monitor strap for cold weather runs. Really helps eliminate the abnormal spikes in the beginning of a run.
