Light weight and compact. Works good as a extra boost for the taller SUV's. A little weak feeling in the middle when standing on it but is still a good step.

It is not as sturdy as I would have licked

Bought this for Mom to help in transferring her from wheelchair to bed while she was recovering from a hip fracture. My Mom only weighs 110lbs, and this was not used all the time as I had bought another one (better quality) also. I actually put this one aside to use later in the kitchen, and so it wasn't use for most of the 30 day return period (that I just found out about). I did try to use it in the kitchen, and though I weigh more than my Mom, I am well under the 300 lb capacity stated for this step! The first time I used it it seemed a little flimsy but worked, until I tried to fold it up. The end piece popped out of place. I managed to get it popped back into place and fold it, but I was already leery of it. The next time I used it, it blew apart right under me! I shudder to think what would have happened if it had been my Mom who stepped on it when it broke! Unfortunately for me, it seems I can do nothing but leave this WARNING: DO NOT BUY THIS! I'm out the money I paid for this piece of junk because on being 9 days passed the 30 day return policy!

I got this step to give me a boost into our tall bed. I'm short and mattresses are ginormous now days so it's helpful to have a bit of a lift. The step is lightweight (about 3 lbs) and opens and folds easily. I fold it up each morning and put it between the nightstand and the wall to keep it off the floor and out of sight. It's very sturdy and doesn't shift around when I step on it. We do have carpet so I don't know how it would work on hardwood - probably not very well since it's plastic and would probably slide (there's a warning label about that). It does exactly what I want it to do for my application.

Bought these for my toddler son who learned to pee standing up but isn't quite tall enough to clear the bowl yet. Works great. But husband has broken 2 of these by standing on them. I guess maybe it wasn't on a flat surface (on the bath mat) but he's not that heavy (well under 200 lbs) so I wouldn't say this stool is super study. It's just sturdy enough.

Quick set-up, quick take-down. I bought mine for getting into my car, because SOMEBODY FORGOT to tell "Detroit" and other auto manufacturers that SOME OF US ARE ELDERLY AND/OR SHORT, and have the devil's own time getting into vehicles with 17" tires and raised door sills! (The rest of the car is fine - getting out, I have gravity to help!) This product seems to be well-made and I love the collapsible feature. I've strung a long piece of 1" nylon webbing through the handle, so I can yank on it after I'm into the car. This effectively collapses the foot-stool. Then I can pull the unit up and put it on the floor of the passenger seat. You'll need to get probably 2 or 3 yards of belt webbing, and have someone help you find out how much you'll need for the entire procedure of being able to hold onto the strap as well as the door handle, and then, as soon as you're in and sitting, be able to yank the strap up and pull the collapsed foot stool into the car.

I ordered 2 of these. One broke as I was unfolding it. But I am pleased with the one that did not break. I use it for my elderly parent as a step up into my suv.

Right high to allow for proper distance between the ground and first step, practical open and close for easy storage when not in use. a little stiffer would have made the item excellent.
