8 bricks arrived in perfect condition and well packaged
My order had arrived very fast, I believe within like two days or so. And all 8 bricks we're well packed and perfectly intact, they had a good solid feel to them with crisp edges and sharp corners, not at all crumbly or brittle like I had feared may arrive after having spent some time reading reviews from other purchasers. In the photo I only took six of the eight bricks out of the box so I that could keep the form within the box intact as I had planned to re pack the bricks and set aside untill i finish welding together the new kiln body ,transferring the pid controller over. I plan to follow up and update after I have had the chance to put some heat on them. But as of now, i am quite satisfied especially given the very reasonable price point.

Fire bricks for a forge
I bought these to line my propane forge with. They are excellent for this application. They're easy to cut and hold up to the high temperatures. I had to trim the thickness down to work for my forge, which was very easy to do with just a regular old band saw. Be sure to keep extras around too. They're pretty fragile and came with some chips out of the box, with lots of dust at the bottom. So take care when opening and don't breathe in the dust!Overall a good product I would for sure buy again next time I need high-temp fire brick.

Excellent, high heat tolerance, sturdy, but you will need to vacuum up so much ultra-fine dust
These bricks are great and I highly recommend them. They perform well when exposed to high heat, they're sized accurately, and they're easy to work with. They also aren't especially heavy, probably due to how porous the surfaces of the bricks are.I made the mistake of bringing them inside, don't repeat my mistake! They're incredibly dusty. The dust is more of a fine powder, so I highly recommend keeping these outside unless you truly need to bring them in. There was even dust coming out of the boxes. These bricks are very well made, though if you're using them in a permanent structure and not just stacking them, you will need a grout that can accommodate the exceptionally porous surfaces of the bricks. They've got a consistency of something like pumice stone. And these might actually be pumice stone, based on their look, weight, and heat resistance, I do believe they are. That's not an issue for me but it is something you might want to be aware of if it matters for your use. There weren't any sizeable cracks on any of the bricks, though there were some small cosmetic cracks that must have been made that way. Nothing major and nothing that poses an issue for me, but if you want them to "look pretty", you might have to orient them a certain way. There was an unreal amount of dust coming off of and out of every single brick. I considered docking a star for it but ultimately, as long as you know and don't bring them inside, you won't have an issue with it. But the dust that does come off of these bricks is incredibly fine, you'll have to vacuum a whole lot to get it all, and it sticks to almost any surface it comes into contact with.I tested these bricks with the highest temperature test I could apply that doesn't exceed the listed limit of 2300°F/1260°C, which is burning with charcoal. A butane torch would burn too hot for these bricks, for example. I also tested with wood just for the heck of it because I had extra firewood nearby. The bricks didn't deform, crack, or really show any difference beyond (unsurprisingly) getting a bit warm, and they didn't transfer heat quickly. Likely due to all the tiny air pockets, they've got quite a sizable resistance to heat or temperature changes in general. These are great for me, and they're being used as bricks for a custom fire pit, which gets used around two to three times a week, so I'll know pretty quickly if these bricks develop any issues. And if they do, I'll update this review right away.I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis. I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. I will not mince words. I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable. And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

Nice insulating fire bricks
Vine items are not free for Reviewers; more about that after the review. These Fire Bricks arrived intact (expect dust), no broken bricks or broken off corners and live up to the size stated by the seller. I'll be purchasing more to use to insulate a DIY built outdoor pizza/bread oven. Although these particular fire bricks are not food safe, they are the ones to use underneath the thinner food safe bricks to hold in/maintain heat for DIY brick pizza ovens. I'm looking forward to getting more and completing the oven. If I should later find that they do not live up to their 5 start rating, I will edit my review. As for my reviews, I am someone who is selective and particular and have no qualms whatsoever leaving an honest review regardless if it is favorable, critical or somewhere in between. Not only am I a newly recruited Vine Reviewer for Amazon, I have been an Amazon customer since 2006 and know the value of an honest review, as does Amazon for they specifically direct its Vine Reviewers to be honest in their assessment of a product because their customers rely on reviews when deciding whether to purchase an item.Vine Reviewers are required to pay both income AND self employment tax to Federal and State on the full market value set by Amazon and submitted to the IRS for all items they review; they are not permitted to claim the sale or discounted prices of 10%, 20% or 50% off customers receive. Moreover, if an item we reviewed quits working, has flaws, is not as described or for whatever reason is unusable, we’re not allowed to return the item like customers are, nor any item for that matter; and what’s more we must still pay the taxes for the item that is no longer of any use. So no, Vine items are not free.

Decent quality product
Product itself works great for a small knife forge, packed well, but a few bricks came broken at no fault to the seller. Amazon box was caved in on one side resulting in some breakage, thankfully there are 8 of them.

Light weight
Lightweight fire bricks I’m using for a pizza oven. They are pretty dusty, I don’t know if that’s the normal thing through. The size is good and they are all the same dimensions. All arrived in one piece.
