This is the one you want.
TLDR: if you are looking for ease of install, a seat that feels sturdy and safe, and want something that you can get your kid into easily, get a Britax Boulevard. Long version: We finally moved up from our Chicco Keyfit 35 infant seat to a convertible. My child hates being strapped into things and so we started our search with a revolving Graco. No matter what we did, we couldn't get installed so it wouldn't move. It was also more difficult to use and had parts that felt cheap (especially the cup holders). Then we tried a Chicco Nextfit Max Zip Air. It was hard to install (like REALLY hard) with the lap belt, and we couldn't ever get it tight. It only goes to 35 lbs in rear facing if you use the LATCH for install, so we wanted to use the lap belt but ultimately just gave up and used the latch. The Chicco Nextfit was better then the Graco and we "test drove" it with our kid for a few days. I got frustrated quickly because the straps kept sticking. We ordered the Britax Boulevard without really expecting any improvement, but WOW. Install is like, so easy. SO EASY. It fits easily in the backseat of our VW Golf Sportwagon with comfortable room for whoever is sitting in front of it. The straps slide sooooo easily, and they rest nicely on the sides of the seat when you put your child in the seat instead of getting stuck beneath him. Also, it has lower sides than the Chicco did so it's much easier to get him in. I also felt like I could interact with him more when I sat next to him in the backseat. My kid fell asleep within the first 10 minutes of being in this seat, so I also think it's pretty comfortable. The padding feels as good or better than the Chicco Nextfit. A few tiny things to note: the recline is in the front of the seat and unreachable when in rear facing, so you may have to reinstall the seat a few times to get the recline right. This would be annoying with most seats but install is super fast with the Boulevard so nbd. (If you have bucket-style seats I would just set it on the max recline if rear-facing and then adjust if needed.) The recline and headrest are a little harder to adjust than the other seats, but it's minor. Once installed with the clicktight, the seat doesn't move AT ALL. It's SOOO tight. I was also nervous about buying from Amazon but the seat arrived in good condition and it doesn't expire for 10 years. All in all, definitely recommend.

Why did I wait so long!
All these years- 3 kids later I decide to finally take my chances and buy an expensive car seat. I was so tired of wanting to throw my car seats out to the street in anger every time the (Graco or Safety 1st) car seat pull belt would get stuck and it was so impossible to tighten the strap! Why, I and my husband tried and checked everything many times. So I decided to get a quality brand and I wish I would have done it sooner. Soooooo smooth and easy to loosen/tighten! Immediately you can feel, see the reason it’s a greatly rated seat and quality! Just get it!

This is not exactly the car seat I was looking for
I bought this car seat on the Prime Day. It was 30% off at that time and I figured it would be a good deal. We currently have Graco SlimFit 3in1 which has been proven to be an amazing car seat for us. Getting back to Britax - the discount was for the Spark color, which does not have a mesh material. I might have missed that because I thought it's this new spill-proof material from Britax, but it's not this either, just normal cloth. It also does not have a cligh-tight feature, which other non-Amazon exclusive have. The picture does not show the strap, but once you get it, you will see it's missing. The other thing it's missing is the rubber pads on the chest straps.Overall, it seems like 30% discount was not really a discount, but missing important features that should have been provided in the description. Having said that, I will be returning this version and possibly getting a full "not-discounted" version which has all I wanted to get from Britax in the first place.

Totally Bewildered by the Positive Reviews
Ok I've had this carseat since November so I feel like I can give it an honest review. And I honestly hate it. I'm totally bewildered by all of the positive reviews. We went from the Chicco keyfit clicktight (for infants) and the Chicco was easier to install, use, lighter and more intuitive for grandparents when they are babysitting. The Britax is:-Heavy-Hard to adjust the straps -- I never feel like I have it quite tight enough. Sometimes I have to YANK on the tightener to get the straps to actually tighten (I have watched YouTube videos on how to fix this -- it's still annoyingly hard compared to the Chicco)-Not "hard" to install (but harder than the Chicco) but not intuitive -- it took me months to actually get it in there truly properly if I'm being honest and literally no one else in my family knows how to install or uninstall it (both sets of grandparents are very involved). At this point I'm strongly considering eating the $350 and buying a different brand. Obviously haven't tested the actual safety features yet and hope never to! But in terms of usability 1.5/10.
