Best vice for the price by far!
I was looking for a larger vice and while I have used many 4" vices in the past and while they work well for most jobs sometimes you just need a bigger vice. This vice has a few features hard to find in this price range, firstly it is a very solid casting, and it has a very deep opening ideal for larger work. There are jaws for round stock/tube built into the casting, which is nice, and a pair of magnetic soft jaws come with this vice which saves making some. The anvil table surface is a very handy addition, and even includes a 3/4" (19mm) hardy hole if you want to make or buy tools for it, like bending horns or stakes, or just want to punch out a bolt or pin. The vice is secured by 4 bolt holes, this distributes load much better than the usual two holes on most vices. All in all this is a hard to beat and very cost effective addition to any workshop.

Good vice. Poor anvil
The vice is a good size and useful with the soft jaws. But the working surface of the anvil part is not in any way hardened and gets marked by the lightest of strikes from a hammer. It's a pity because the size and weight are good.

I should have gotten this years ago
So this vice is a bit on the costly side but what it offers seems to be unique to it so if you want the features you pay the money. I like that the anvil is on top of the vice so access to a hammer bashing surface is really convenient plus which it is a biggish surface too. It is a heavy item but that is for the good. Delivery was 24 hours which is incredible these days.

Every bit as good as I hoped
If you are sold on the design from the pictures then you wont be disappointed, its better than I expected and every bit as good as I'd hoped, can't fault it.If I paid twice as much for it I'd still consider it a good buy.

A strong, heavy vice that can cope with most tasks.
This six-inch engineer's vice is more useful for having a large flat anvil area on its top that can be utilised in a number of ways for shaping, loosening and fastening metal items and materials. Vices often get used like this anyway, so it's good to have a dedicated platform. The wide-opening jaws come with removable magnetic plastic liners that have cutouts for shaped sections such as tubes. There are also some rudimentary teeth cast into the throat under the machined jaws.It seems to be fairly well made, and the only features it lacks compared to some (usually more expensive) rivals is a rotating table and a quick release lever. It is securely anchored to the bench by four lugs with 10mm holes. The vice is supplied in a strong double box, and the only preparation needed was to retrieve one end cap for the tommy bar and screw it on, and to remove a small piece of cast iron from the screw channel area. It's not clear where this remnant comes from - nothing seems to be missing or broken, but the stray scrap had been painted with the rest. The vice has performed well, and the removable magnetic soft jaws are a welcome enhancement. It is worth considering at the current price of £109.99

Way more than I expected. Excellent.
This is a heavy-duty vice in terms of weight and practicality, as a novice DIYer, this vice is probably more to advance for my skill ability and needs. The vice locks evenly, and it’s made from ductile iron which gives more impact resistance than normal cast iron.A brilliant vice that will last a long long time.

Possibly The Only Vice You Will Ever need To Purchase ⚒️
ℹ️ Bench Vice - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️Wow this thing is heavy. The 2-1 combo is definitely built to last, the anvil section is a real added bonus. The included soft jaws attachments make this vice a good allrounder. I must also mention the vice arrives double boxed, keeping it in perfect condition.
