Works Great!
I used this to replace a small filter in my 2009 Panasonic projector. I was skeptical but it was a great fix - the exact same material as the original. Works great.

Strong smell.
It has a strong sour smell. Dissipates when left to air out for a day.

Works great for vent slots on my new iMac!
Before I go any further, you need to take your time with this because if you get foam stuck up inside your iMac it could void your warranty. I cut pieces 1 5/8" X 1/4", folded them over a piece of business card cut to 1 5/8 and inserted them into each of the 11 vent slots in my new iMac. I bought them because after only a few days of owning the Mac, there were particles of dusk inside the vents against the screens. I took a drinking straw, attached it to a vacuum cleaner and cleaned it out, put these it, and after a month I removed them to inspect and there was no dust. I use a System Pal utility app to monitor my temps and as we speak its idling at 39°. Playing my most aggressive game, Grid 2 heats it up to about 60° Its an expensive hassle to have a Mac opened up to clean it out so I'm glad I did this early. Over priced at $8.99 for the amount of foam yes, but my Mac was $3000 so its a small price to pay and it doesn't take much to do the job, and I have plenty left to use again when it gets dirty.

For my overhead projector
Was a lot cheaper buying like this than buying one little filter. Cut to fit.

Is just foam
I believe you get what you paid for, this Air filter is just foam that comes with double side tape to be attached into the intakes of the case.I stop my plan to use it since the air don't pass even if I blow strong with my mouth, maybe with powerful fans this will be great to keep dust out of the case, but for me is too risk to place this and compromise the air circulation. So my first idea wasn't possible to accomplish with this, will need a workaround to make it work for my case.

Exactly what I needed
Needed it for a UV light intake fan filter. Cut to size and perfect thickness.

Perfect for 2017 iMac ventilation holes
This filter material was the perfect thickness to fill the 13 ventilation holes on the bottom of my 27-inch iMac. Apple does not provide any dust filter in the iMac, which can cause dust problems on the internal components and in the layers of the screen. I cut 45mm x 6mm rectangles from the foam material and inserted one in each vent hole. My iMac still runs cool. I have Intel i5 chip in my iMac and my fan never runs above 1200 rpm. ( I use iStat Menus to monitor temperature and fan speed).I think the price for this air filter material is high, but it's far cheaper than iMac repairs.
