Nice and squishy. Very strong smell.
I like the look and feel of this mat. The whole reason I sought out a cork mat was because I can’t get over the dirty feet, rubbery smell of the mats I find at TJ Max, Home Goods etc.I just unboxed this mat and there is still a very strong chemical smell to it. Not sure if it’s the glue they use to adhere the cork to the rubber mat or what. Hoping the smell wears off but for now I have to keep in the garage instead of bedroom.

Stunning and safe
I bought this mat for myself for myself for my 40th birthday after having my other petrochemical mat for 15 years. This is well worth the money. It’s absolutely beautiful and I felt very secure during my first practice with it. I am not using it for hot yoga. Just vinyasa and kundalini and it is very plush and comfy for this purpose. Happy birthday to me!!!Added note: for those who are complaining of it being slippery,… it may help to focus on your alignment and weight distribution during your practice. I found that the two times my hands have felt a slight slip it was actually me, not the mat,… I had not been focusing on my breath and mula banda (hand lock). When you are not expressing the integrity of the posture you are imbalanced which can lead to instability. That’s on the yogi,.. not the mat

too expansive
I chose this yoga mat for the art and for the description "thick mat". It is not thick! Is just a regular thickness mat. However, it is wider than a regular yoga mat about 2 inches. The art is beautiful, deserve 5 stars, but the high price and the fact is not a thick mat as I wanted, makes me to give an overall 3 stars.

Yoloha Aura Cork Mat review
First of I wanted to get this mat because the cork was different from anything else I have seen and interested me. Second because I do primarily hot yoga and sweat alooooot and wanted to see if the claims held up. My other mat is lululemon that was suppose to have a no slip surface and it did... for about 5 months before it wore off and I was sliding again, I have been using that for 2 years. Plus I was tired of using towels that always got in the way. So far this mat is awesome! it is super comfortable to practice on because the added cushion of the cork, My wrists and joints thank you on that(I am a 265lb male). But most importantly when I sweat i don't slip AT ALL during hot classes. I let a few of my teachers try it for a class and they also loved it and talked about getting some in stalk for their studios. I know it has a life time guarantee(which my lulu used too but now doesn't for some reason?), but I am still interested to see how well the cork/rubber holds up as both cork and rubber do eventually tend to break apart when dry. AS for non heated classes, like others have said, you do need to wet the mat a little for added grip but that is not a big deal. Oh it also dries super fast too, I stretch it out after a class and it air drys in a few hoursOne month update: Apparently there isn't a lifetime guarantee but they will work with you. Also for this particular mat you will still slip if you over saturate it (water, sweat). plus after about two weeks or so a very small piece(1x1 cm) of the cork top came off exposing the underlining .

Not a good mat for any hot yoga class or if you sweat a lot
This mat is a decent cork yoga mat. In truth, on the top surface is a very thin cork laminar layer and the bottom is foam, not rubber. It's a little thicker than I prefer but it is also wider than I'm used to and I liked that. The main problem with this mat is that despite what the ad says, it does a very poor job at odor resistance. I sprayed this mat after each and every class, and let it air out and despite my efforts it stank. I even sprayed it with Febreze to no avail. This mat actually hold odor like a champ and ultimately I just had to give it up. This wasn't my first cork mat, but my other had a rubber base and not a foam. I suspect the foam is absorbing the moisture from my sweat, keeps it locked in the foam structure. which is what is making it smell so bad. I eventually had to through this mat away. For those using it in a non-heated class or in classes where they do not sweat, this would probably be a fine mat. But for hot yoga classes or if you sweat a lot in regular yoga classes, I'd advise against it.

perfect yoga mat!
THE Best yoga mat! I've been practicing yoga for about 5 years now and this mat is extremely comfortable. I used this thing about 5-6 times a week and it was incredible. Like practicing on a cloud. I had this thing for about a year before I upgraded to a newer mat from the company. I will also mention that the company is incredible to work with. They have amazing customer service and were incredibly supportive and kind. If you love yoga as much as I do this company and their products are the best.

Love It!
I love everything about this mat. It's longer and a little wider which I like. I'm tall and needed a longer mat. The cork is nice and smooth. You may want to spritz the mat before use, like the instructions state, so that your hands will grip better. Several people in my Yoga class were interested when they saw mine.
