This is not a Polaris OEM part. It’s clearly advertised as such therefore very misleading. Amazon needs to do more to police this.

Use Genuine Polaris Parts
This is a lesson is getting what you pay for. The gearbox on my original back up valve got jammed up with sand after about a season and a half. I purchased a replacement from my local pool store wanting to shop local. This jammed up after about two months. So I purchased another one, which is when I realized my pool shop was selling me Chinese replacements for Polaris prices. So I came to Amazon and purchased Chinese replacements for Chinese replacement prices. These would last for a month or two, with the last making it a week. I also noticed the cleaner wasn't climbing the walls like it was supposed to. I almost replaced it with another brand. But instead I used a Genuine Polaris Part. The cleaner is now climbing the walls like when it was new. It has been in use for a month now with no change in performance. Lesson learned use Genuine Replacement Parts.

Worked Well for 2+ years
This was a genuine Polaris part, and it worked well with my Polaris 380 for 2 years and 2 months. It stopped working properly, and I found the case had a crack at the location of the backup flow outlet. I had expected it to last longer. Some of the parts I had ordered previously lasted 4-5 years.

It is an efficient backup up valve for my Polaris 380. Works perfectly and therefore the performance of the :80 is very good
