You need a flat-bottomed mug for this to work well which I’ve never owned. This is due to the plate needing contact with the bottom surface of the mug. I’m not even sure where to buy one with a flat bottom

I was looking for sth what works and is energy efficient. 19W suits me perfectly. Coffe or tea stay warm. Temperature vary according to home temp. Sometimes I use lid to make it more warm. In general happy with this purchase.

Does exactly what it sais on the tin. Just make a cup of tea or coffee, switch it on , place the cup on the pad and bingo, no more cold tea! At only 20 watts consumption, it’s a cheap way to keep drinks hot as long as needed, wish I knew about this years ago.

To me this cup warmer could be hotter at it's highest setting. Maybe it's a safety feature but in a cold room House it to keep my small coffee pot warm because it has a cover. It's not bad for the price.

This is easy to use and SO effective that when you use it in combination with a mug or cup cover the liquid stays really hot, maybe too hot to drink so you have to switch it off eventually. Very effective, easy to use and flashes after switching off to warn you the plate is still very hot. Far more effective than any USB powered models which fail with monotonous regularity so buying those cheap USB mats is simply false economy. Very well made. I am really impressed.....at last.

Does what it says on the packet and very well.

The warmer has three temperature settings, to keep a mug of coffee or tea at a constant 65C, 55C or 40C. It didn't work at any of those settings.I tested it using a proper lidded tea mug (lids are recommended in the instructions).As the device is not intended to heat up liquids from a lower temperature, I tested using 200ml water heated up to 5C above the specified temperature for each setting, to minimise the work the warmer had to do, checked that the mug had equilibrated with the lid on and a temperature probe inside, and then measured the temperature every fifteen minutes for an hour and a half, without having to remove the lid. At the medium setting, notionally 55C, the temperature just fell steadily below 45C. At the highest setting, notionally 65C, the warmer could not keep the temperature above 48C.This, in a recommended flat-based mug with a lid, meant the appliance was useless for purpose. An occasional burst in a microwave was more effective.I returned it.
