The Real Thing!
I was glad to find these were actual MPF102 JFETs, all in good working condition.A previous order from another vendor of MPF102 JFETs, turned out to be ordinary transistors, even though they were marked MPF102. Counterfeit electronics parts is a growing problem, usually found from vendors in China. I alerted Amazon to this, and even though it had been outside of the return time-period, they gave me a refund.I am very happy with these JFETs and will be glad to order them again. This is a good value.

Works as desired in FET preamp
Bough these for a noisebox preamp and it worked using schematic I found on the internet (search for contact mic preamp) These are great for piezo mikes since the input inpedance is very high and matches the pickup element for best s/n ratio. This was a notably quiet FET.
