AmericanMade Twin Size 5 Inch Thick, Firm Conventional Polyurethane Foam Mattress Pad Bed Topper Made in The USA

This is my second time ordering this. I use it over my mattress.The box arrived at least a week ahead of when I was expecting it. The foam was shrink-wrapped very well and there was no smell. I didn't receive a foam cover like I did with my first shipment in 2015, however, it's not a deal breaker. I left it sitting on my bedroom floor for 48 hours and it's ready for me to use.Great item for the price, too, and I expect to get another 4-5 years out of my bed as a result of adding this foam.

I am very happy with this mattress. I have a herniated disc and and am supposed to sleep on a firm surface. My bed was too soft, but too new to replace, so I tried putting this on half of the bed and it has helped. Its odd to be higher than the rest of the bed, but for a temporary fix it works.The only negative was that after a week or so it does start to droop in the middle slightly, but I found if you turn it over it takes shape again quickly.

I am 46 years old, and after many years of playing hard, two knee surgeries, and countless ankle fractures, (I was an athlete) I was more recently diagnosed with degenerative disk disease (L5-S1. I also have sciatica.I just purchased & received the 5 inch king topper. Delivery was very fast (3 business days). It came with a cheap-ish white canvas/cotton cover which I could not get to fit it (a little too small I think). But the topper fits my king bed nicely - perhaps an inch too large which is no problem. Make sure you have a deep sheet to put on it BTW. I slept on it for the 1st time last night, so I will probably update my review more over time - but so far, it's much firmer than I imagined it to be. I was trying to duplicate my couch cushions that are far more comfortable for me to sleep on than my old $700 memory foam bed and my new $1000 memory foam bed. There's just something about the memory foam that doesn't agree with me (a predominantly side sleeper). Even though it was a bit firmer than expected, I woke up with less back pain this morning, so that's a good thing. My hope is that I will adjust to it as the evenings pass, and it will become a bit softer & more comfortable. Bottom line - firmer than you probably think, seems well-made, so far so good...

Lost firmness after just about a week and a half, was great before but now the center of the pad sinks immediately. Had to put pillows under it to keep middle at same height as rest of pad when used. I understand it compresses when used but the 5 inches drops to under 1-1.5 now. The foam density is just bad and after the short use period only leads to neck pain. Go for a recognized brand, the sale it shows is a lie as it is always at the same price as is shown. I regret spending the 115 dollars as it would be much better put to buying a name brand product that would last a longer time.

I had an old queen size futon that had begun to get hard as it had aged. I bought this 5 inch foam and use it atop the futon, and it is wonderful! I have back problems and prefer a stiff mattress, which was I have loved my futon before it eventually compressed and became too hard. I was a afraid this foam would be too soft at 5 inches, but I had tried a 1 inch foam topper that didn't help. If it were used atop a traditional spring mattress, it might be too soft for some people, but as long as it has good support below it, this foam has the perfect combination of support and give. I sleep on my side, and it gives the perfect cushioning for my hip and shoulder, while supporting my ribs and spine.At 5 inches thick it will be too thick to fit inside a fitted sheet along with a mattress, yet not thick enough to fill a fitted sheet by itself so the sheet isn't loose and floppy. For my Queen sized foam, I've found that a duvet cover that is made to fit both Queen and King size feather beds works great.

Super firm. Every bit of 5inches thick. No dipping, sagging or strange smell. Arrived in an air tight bag within the box. Once I cut open the bag it expanded to this beast! I was concerned my sheet would not be able to handle it since my mattress is a double sided pillow top &there was no way I was going to be able to humanly get that thing back into the box. It looked like a toupee sitting on top of a person's head :)Thankfully I have Frontgate sheets. And they are know for their deep pockets. It fit! The sleeping area is so high now, I have to be careful to not fall out and now have to climb in. I feel like the princess and the pea!
