Move up to 60 gallons of water per minute with the Superior Pump 1/2 hp thermoplastic pedestal sump pump. It comes with a metal switch arm that ensures extreme durability and strength. Constructed from thermoplastic, this Superior Pump 1/2 hp thermoplastic pedestal sump pump also features a fully adjustable automatic float switch to automatically turn the pump on/off. Review: A benefit of a pedestal pump is the large range of water level adjustment for when the pump turns on. My sump pit drains naturally through pipes running underground and has worked fine for years, but I was worried what would happen if the natural drainage couldn't keep up with heavy storms. With this pump I could set it so it only turns on if the water gets above those drain lines, something not possible with a submersible version. It works very quickly and quietly in testing and provides good backup flood protection. I recommend the stainless and cast iron version for the weight to keep it firmly planted in the sump pit. Review: Excellent and a well built pump. Quiet and pumps a lot of water . Have 2 of these pumps installed in my basement, does a great job in keeping the water under control. Will be ordering a third one to have as a spare……
