DJControl Mix – Bluetooth Wireless DJ Controller for Smartphones (iOS and Android) – dJay app – 2 Decks, White

I love this controller and have had so much fun with it so far. Is this a $2000 dollar quality controller, no. Being at around $220 is the best you will find for a battery controlled DJ controller. You basically have this, a Denon, Numark, and alpha theta (Pioneer). Do I like my Pioneer DDJ-400 more than this, yes, but cutting out the wires when just messing around in the kitchen, living room, other house parties, ext. is quite fun. I have read many complaints about the BT latency and I have to say, they are blowing that way out of proportion. Is the latency noticeable on Bluetooth, short answer is yes, but it's not anything that would overly frustrate me when DJing to a Bluetooth device in general. You have to expect with BT that the transmission involves compressing the audio signal, which can result in a minor loss of sound fidelity. If you plug in a lightning or aux cable it will get around this latency issue and then can be directly plugged into your Bluetooth device. For highest quality sound: Plug your iPad or iPhone directly into a Radial Engineering Direct box. That is the brand that I suggest, hands down. I have seen the Radial USB-Pro 2 work and that will have the highest possible sound quality output at 24-bit / 96 kHz with high-quality DAC's. The Radial Trim-Two 2-Channel Passive AV Direct Box will also work (The one I have) and I believe this way is supported by Radial Engineering. Both will allow for balanced XLR outputs that can be connected into studio monitors or larger speakers, ext. The only gripe that I had with this controller was initially getting it to connect. For some reason I had to go into the settings on my iPhone and find the DJAY app. In the settings of the app I had to "Allow" Bluetooth connections. I do not know why for me that was automatically set that way, but once I switched to allow it was easy within the app.

Kinda of small but you can take it anywhere and pretty easy to use for beginners like myself. Rechargeable and wireless make it even better little pricey ,but if you want to learn you won’t be disappointed as long as you get the djay app pro !

I give this 4.5 stars. I am super new to the dj world and just wanted something to learn on and that isn't total crap (plus, if I only ene up using it a few times I'm ony out a hundred bucks)... this hercules controller is great. It's small, portable, Bluetooth enabled and very capable. I was able to start mixing songs within minutes of unboxing the unit. And in case you're wondering it works with Android!!

I’m a casual bedroom DJ. I spin for my enjoyment or close friends and family only. It’s one of my creative outlets. This thing is awesome! I connect to my iPad or iPhone and off I go. No power cords/blocks, USBs, XLRs etc. The wireless Bluetooth LE connection is so convenient. You can take this anywhere with no hassle. If you wanna step it up a notch, connect the USB to 3.5mm splitter for a headphone cue and an aux speaker. It’s mono sound but for casual play, it’s not a big deal. You technically can use Bluetooth for speakers and headphones but there is some latency for sure, use USB and aux. If I want better features, more real estate, better sound, I have my Rane Four, Performer, Reloop Beatpad 2 and studio monitors. But it’s not about that. The fun factor is the small size, the convenience, yet a lot of functionality you’d get from larger controllers. There are sample pads, loops, slicers, EQ, filters, and most importantly… STEMS!! It makes it so easy and fun to mix with. DJay Pro software is the game changer and best part IMO. The vocal isolation is so clean. This controller works seamlessly. The only gripes I have are that the faders and platters are a bit stiff, but not a deal breaker. It’s just a toy anyways lol. The included cover and replaceable battery is nice. Get one and have fun!

I like carrying this in my backpack with my iPad so I can DJ any place on the spot, I also carry a JBL Bluetooth speaker with me so I'm ready to DJ no matter where I go it is simple to use and connect. This one connects to iOS devices such as iPhone and iPad through the Bluetooth. It also has a USB connection on the side that plugs into a power source. You can use a USB adapter or a power bank portable battery charger. Fits nicely in a backpack and looks and sounds great it may not have all the bills and whistles of the bigger pioneer units, but it does almost the same thing minus the sound effects. It's great for blending and has sync buttons on it I use it with djay algorithm app on iPad and it is just seamless. I'm glad I made this purchase, and I am satisfied !

Awesome mixer, fully rechargeable and works with both tablets, cellphones, and laptops. It sounds great very easy to use and well worth the money. I love the portability and the included y-cable for connecting to external speakers and headphones for monitoring. I used it for six hours on a single charge. Great back up tool for DJAY Pro users. Me personally I always bring an extra laptop or tablet/ipad as a backup.
