First, they protect my pinky from rubbing against the paper when I write. Second, they help my hand to stay still and firm, instead of feeling loose all over the page. And I find that my fingers don't tire as easily when I'm wearing these gloves. The compression definitely works on my arthritic hands! Each glove has the Isotoner brand name on the bottom of the glove. The exterior stitching means they feel seamless on my fingers. I don't know who thought of this but they're brilliant! No stitching to rub against my fingers. And the material is nice and stretchy, I have complete mobility wearing these gloves. They're so comfortable that I literally have to remember to take them off when I'm not writing.
