The Everything Kids' Sharks Book: Dive Into Fun-infested Waters!

I got this for a 10-year-old's birthday and he loves it! This was a great present - educational and entertaining, and most importantly - not related to anything electronic. Growing up part of the Internet Generation, he spends a considerable amount of time watching television, playing video games/game boy, etc. and it is always a challenge to find him a present that he will enjoy but that won't encourage more hours spent staring at a plasma screen. It wasn't Star Wars; it wasn't Iron Man; it wasn't Pokemon; but he is enjoying it immensely. I would definitely recommend this book for someone looking for a more educational yet still entertaining gift for a youngster.

I guess when I bought this book that I didn't realize they were all black and white pages (should have realized that in the option to look through the book). No actual pictures of sharks, just facts. There are some activity pages and other things to entertain kids but my 4 year old doesn't really have an interest in that. He will look through it on occasion but loses interested quickly because facts without pictures is kind of boring (for me too). It has a lot of great information, but I think it would be suited more for a little older child who can appreciate the activities more.

Bought for my 7 yr old grandson who is into sharks but it looked a little overwhelming to him for something he could do on his own. Will need an adult to help but it will be fun with help

It's alright. Not in color. My 7 year old wasn't very impressed. But the item was in perfect shape, and provides a lot of detailed info. Best for a 9+.

I got this for my niece, who dreams of being a Marine Biologist (which she certainly can be) ~ This is the third shark book I bought for her through Amazon and was pleased as punch. She's 9 years old, but well on her way to loving marine life. Great book for kids.

Bought this for a birthday present for an 8 year old. He loved the facts, but he said he wished there were more pictures.
