Great Tool !!! Lubricate it first as they Recommend.
Used this tool to put some Trijicon "Bright and Tough" (low profile vs Trijicon's HD higher profile) night sights on my Glock 43 and it worked out great. The tool is very well made and a great deal for the money. For some reason you have to go online and print out the "must have" instructions for this tool, even though it's only one page so I think they should have the printed out instructions in the box when you open it! There is also a useful YouTube video online you should watch also, along with printing out the instructions, since the instructions add a lot of advise not in the video. IMPORTANT : you really should (unlike me) put a drop of lubricating oil on all the threaded bolts on this unit (the two on either side of it and the one on top, as they suggest, and the tool even show's a little Oil Can on these area to show you that you should lubricate it. I didn't, until after I used the tool and I noticed that it was a little hard to turn these bolts. After using the tool, I lubricated all these points and the bolts turned MUCH EASIER. Another good tip (from Trijicon) is to put the new Rear Sight in the freezer for a while so that the metal shrinks a little to make it easier to push. Another tip: I noticed that my original Glock sites were set a little to the right of Center, but when I shot the Gun it was "Dead Nuts" perfect right and left. It seems that Glocks tend to shoot to the left, for most people, because of the trigger pull, so by putting the Rear Sight "slightly" to the right of center will help your Glock shoot more to the Center.

Works like a dream.
I heard these horror stories about how difficult changing sights on the Springfield Hell at was. So I shopped around for a sight pusher, and decided on this. I've had good luck with products from this company. Input a little gun oil on the sight about an hour in advanced, locked the slide into this very adjustable tool and started twisting. The sight came right out. I also used it to install the new sight. Worked like a dream! Something you should know is that you can use a socket wrench on this...it's the only one I found that you can. It takes the same size socket as my lawn mower spark plug.

It works okay and good value for price.
System works there are a few short coming with this sight vise but once you understand its short comings and the work arounds the vise works well.******.Use your smarts phone and down load info of tool on back of box too NcSTAR.com view video of removal/install and laugh. How to use tool: De-grease and clean all screws mine had metal shaving and dirt, must have been dropped on floor in China! ******ALSO THE BASE PLATFORM HAS A 3/32 ALLEN SCREW THAT IS LOOSE SECURE IT WITH BLUE LOCTIE MORE ON THIS IN CLOSING THOUGHTS.....POOR QC IMHO 1. You must secure the sight tool to a work bench or a vice! Sure you can remove factory Glock sight off easily, now try installing aftermarket sights like: Ameriglo, Angry Bear Arms,Trijcon or XS sights without having the tool secure. For the internet commandos that say you can with ease please post a video unedited.I have done it, true P.i.t.a. 2. Remember you are pressing the new sight in and the dove tail slot on you side it tight use lubricate it help you install your new sight! A drop or 2 of your favorite gun oil goes a long way,I recommend Kroil oil. Also your new sight may have too much coating on its dove tail lightly polish coating with 600 grit will ease installation ****Remember*** you are polishing not removing metal! if don't know the difference look it up! that's it short and sweet. Closing thoughts would I recommend this tool? Yes I would, while not perfect it gets the job done. This tool has the potential to be a very good tool if NcSTAR installed guide pins on the Base Platform to limit platform tilt and loctited 3/32 thumb wheel screw . Look at the tool all adjustment for this tool have guide rods i.e steel rods on Top brace, side brace and sight pusher these rod aid in installation of you new sight. Since the platform adjustment or the proper name "Jack screw threads are sloppy over .040"play up/down and side to play resulting in a poor clamping pressure of your slide..So when you are installing/removing your slide walks or rolls in the direction you are installing you new sight.Maybe this is how those polymer slide block get broke. If NcSTAR installed guide rods on Base Platform this problem would be greatly reduced .

EXCELLENT PRODUCT
I don't frequently write reviews. However, I felt a moral obligation to write one for this product. The value for the price is top notch. I have done some tinkering with my guns in the past but have never adjusted rear sights due to all the talk about how difficult it is. Not with this tool. It is very intuitive but regardless, please read the online instructions first. This is not a plastic piece of junk! I read some negative reviews and believe that in most cases, if the reviewer took a bit more time to properly adjust the tool settings for their application, it would have worked fine. I used this tool to adjust the rear sight on my S&W Shield Plus as the factory setting was off. The only mod I made to the tool was to put a few pieces of painter's tape on each side of the clamp that touches the rear sight, to avoid any scratches. After removing the Allen screw holding the sight in place, I set the slide rail in the tool and calibrated the clamps to begin the process to push the sight to the left. At first, I was a bit nervous about the amount of force needed to push the sight, but that is just a reality of the process. If it required minimal force, you could just use a punch tool. I did really have to crank hard on the clamp to push this sight but it worked like a charm. (The force required has nothing to do with this tool, it is simply a matter of how tight the factory sets the sights - very common). I removed the slide and I nailed it. The rear sight was now centered less than 30 minutes after unboxing the tool, with no scratches or any damage to the sight or rail. Can I give this a 6 star review? :) If I think about the skill level required to do this, if you are capable of disassembling your gun for cleaning it, then you can successfully use this tool to push your sights. I received absolutely nothing for leaving this review. No discounted or free product or anything. Just a happy customer!!!!

Works great!
I've used this to install / remove a few different sets of Glock rear sights, and it just works. Pair it with a Wiha 26547 nut driver for the front sight and you're set.

Excellent Value for a Great Product
I purchased this because I have seen the results of using a punch to install sights, but could not justify the cost of the expensive tools. Was very unsure due to the price. It was worth it. Simple as that. I will go into more detail below, but the short and sweet is that it is cheap and works awesome. I am an engineer and have worked as a machine designer. So seeing a tool that is not overbuilt is always something I love to see. The extra cost in materials and finishing is always passed on to the consumer. This is perfect. Feel no need to purchase one of the more expensive tools after using this at all. Rigidity is excellent. I pushed some rear sights out of a 1911 that had a lot of duracoat in the dovetail with no flexing, it was a little challenging but still better than a punch. This tool was purchased specifically for a Polymer80 glock build. It worked excellent. I pushed sights in the slide, shot it a bit, then stripped it again to have it machined. Now it is time to reinstall and I am glad that I have the tool. Have stripped and installed 3 sets of sights for my guns and now my brothers as well, which does include supressor height sights. All sights installed have been expensive trijicon night sights, so rest easy knowing that it won't marr them. Has easily already paid for itself. The soft case that it comes in makes it easy enough to take to the range if you haven't mounted it to the work bench. In my opinion mounting to the work bench offers no necessary mechanical advantage when installing sights, but is also possible with the mounting holes. I highly recommend this product, even for that one off sight install. *Note: Does not work on 1911 front sights*

Plenty sturdy, great value, & works well
I was hesitant to buy this based on the number of low reviews and the fact that NcStar does not have the best reputation. I took the plunge, figuring I could return it if it did not work. The design & function is plenty sturdy and works well. The VTUPRS has already paid for itself and perhaps the best thing about it is that you can make very minute adjustments to your sights so they are centered on your gun. My only complaint is that it should be about one inch wider to accommodate installing dovetail mounts for red dot sights. The issue is that the side clamps do not allow you to position the gun far enough to either side so that the pusher can get behind the dovetail mount for install/removal. For example, if you want to install an EGW dovetail mount on a Glock (which requires you to push to the right), you need to clamp the gun as far to the right as possible so the pusher can be as far over to the left of the mount to start pushing it. The problem is that when you unscrew the right clamp all the way to the right, the left clam cannot extend out enough to hold your gun in place. This sounds confusing, but once you try installing something wide like a dovetail mount you will immediately understand what I am saying. I was ultimately able to make it work by getting the dovetail mount about 3/4 of the way in and then using the VTUPRS to fully seat it and make sure it was even on each side. Overall, I do recommend this tool for your average hobby gun owner who wants to move sights around on guns or make adjustments without using a punch or paying a gunsmith.

Works, quality of the parts are subpar, too much flex in the entire device causing binding.
The quality feels heavy duty, but when actually attempting to use the pusher tool, the protective end caps for holding the slide do not mount. The adjustment screws do not feel aligned correctly and tend to feel like they are binding and when trying to actually attempt to push the sight - either the frame or the how the gantry moves tends to flex and bind, causing friction making the adjustment difficult. I was able to make the contraption work, but either the quality of the screws going from left to right or the guide rod/rail that the gantry slides on was flexing and causing binding.
