it works!
i got these for meetings that i prefer to use my iphone for, so that i can use my ipad to take notes, etc. it works better than expected. the rotation is nice and solid, the legs are sturdy, and it doesn't slide around all over the place. the best thing to me is the height, how tall it is, so the it holds your phone at a more convenient angle instead of from down below angles up into your nostrils. i can't remember how much i paid, but i believe it was a lightning deal, so i nabbed it quick. each leg is also bendable/adjustable individually, but i mostly leave mine straight. that way the tripod feature works perfectly. the legs are not easily bendable which is great because that means it is sturdy. also can even kind of use it as a selfie stick, but it's clunky. i have never used a selfie stick, so maybe take the bit with a grain of salt.

Awesome!
Used to have the Joby phone holder that you close and tighten with a knob. I am always skeptical of this type of holder, but joby makes amazing stuff! Super high quality and works with standard tripods.

Great for selfies & family photos
This worked great for holding my phone for selfies on my Appalachian Trail Thru hike. My Samsung Galaxy has a stylus which allows me to snap the photo when I was in position, most of the time on a mountain ledge (safely from the edge). I was able to take videos and photos to document my hike when no one else was around. It's easy to wrap around small trees or branches, or set on the ground. And it was fairly lightweight to carry in my pack. Sadly, I left one on a tree in Shenandoah National Park, but purchased another one to replace it. It's also great for family photos where you want everyone in the photo.

Finally! A perfectly functional phone mount!
This is my 7th phone mount since 2018. I had high hopes for the first six, but every one of them disappointed me for one of two reasons. Either (1) the clamps were not wide enough to securely hold my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with its Otterbox protective case, or (2) there was no cold shoe mount. So when this Joby mount popped up in my Amazon suggestions, I was skeptical. I studied the listing for this device, got out a tape measure and measured both my phone and those six old mounts, and compared the Joby to the others. The width of the clamps on this Joby are slightly greater than ¾" which is enough to securely hold that large Otterbox case. The six older mounts are anywhere from about ⅜" to ⅝" which is too small. This Joby also has two full cold shoe mounts, perfect for a small LED light in one and an external mic in the other. One of those six old mounts had a screw to tighten the clamps that blocked its cold shoe from being useable. I had resorted to a camera cage to hold the accessory gear, but that was cumbersome and added unnecessary weight to my setup. So I am VERY HAPPY to report that this Joby is perfectly fully functional: finally I have found a mount that both holds my phone securely in its case AND has two useable cold shoe mounts. I can't speak to its durability or sturdiness just yet, since I've only had it for less than one week, but I am hopeful that it lasts a long time, because I like it a lot! And at this price point, it's good value for the money.

Works adequately
Does its job. Holds my Galaxy S21Pro with minimal wobble. Nicely cushioned to grip phone. Turns 360 degrees, but only in 90 degree intervals. Just barely big enough to hold my phone when in its case (which IS pretty big). Another quarter inch of slide apart would have earned this holder my top praise. It does "come close".

QR plate rattles
I have the "medium" Podzilla, and like it for a phone or small camera. This bigger version is perfect for my large portable audio recorder or a mid-sized camera, except for one thing: The quick release plate rattles when moved around. I tried to tape it, but it was then too snug. I'm trying to decide if I want to glue it, but really would like a QR plate, and I'm not sure if the glue will hold the screw for long. I'll probably return it and hope for a new version with a clamp rather than a slide-in latch type plate. Too bad as it was so inexpensive now.

Beaucoup mieux qu’un grip d’une autre marque. Facile à utiliser. Les mâchoires s’ouvrent assez facilement mais tiennent fermement. Satisfaite.

Well made & perfect for micro four thirds. I mount a Olympus EM1 MK2 & 12 - 100mm pro lens on this with no reasonable issues The ball head & twist-able legs are a game changer for positioning or attaching your gear to (fences, trees ETC) in awkward or long exposure situations Never out of my camera bag & I now leave my tripod @ home

Pretty disappointed tbh. Worked well until one of the legs just snapped -- and honestly I hadn't even used it that much... maybe a dozen times? And of course, a 2-legged tripod is as useless as a... well, as a 2-legged tripod.
