SuperScience STEM Instant Activities: Grades 1-3: 30 Hands-On Investigations With Anchor Texts and Videos

So on first glance, the product looks amazing. So excited to start using it. Now, on closer look upon trying to plan it out with my Science curriculum this year, I am noticing that not all the components are included in this kit. For instance, There is an activity on wind power. Inside the folder there are data sheets (to print for the students) and 5 activity cards (with a task on each side). For task 1, the students will make a "spin wheel". However, the template for this is NOT included! You must go to a website, enter your email address & a code to earn access for this (and other "bonus" material). How is this "bonus" material if you need the template for the given activity? Ok, so I got over that & planned to go through every folder to print the materials I will need so I have them on hand. I go to the site, enter the required info for access, hit "submit", and get a page that says, "INVALID URL". I tried it multiple times to no avail. Now have to call the company. I don't have time for this! Everything needed should be included in this box! Frustrated!

This is a nice, organized set of hands-on activities that allow the kids to make predictions and observations (think like a scientist!). There is a folder with each activity with a short article, task cards (five duplicate double-sided cards explaining the 2 tasks) and 2 data sheets you can write on, copy, or just have them write answers in a notebook.I did not have a problem using the online url link and code. I used it to access a related short video for each activity and to print my data sheets (I could have copied them from each folder, but it was easier to print direct from online pdf).I bought grades 1-3 and 4-6. My 2nd grader & 4th grader are doing both sets.Even though some are very basic, at minimal I know they are practicing recording observations and writing.You do need materials - so far I haven’t needed anything I didn’t have at home already.

While this package advertises online videos and resources included, it does not tell you that you need to purchase a description for these components. I think we can make do without but this caught me by surprise.

These are so fun. We have both kits and are using them for all three kids from pre-k - 5th for homeschool. Just making some adjustments for our little guy. They are really fun and most don’t require much additional materials to do the “experiments”. Like for the penguin one you put rice in a sock to make an “egg” and try and waddle around with it on your feet like an emperor penguin

I'm sure this is amazing for in a classroom, but as a homeschooling mom who doesn't have access to necessary resources to complete these activities, I have to send it back. Really stinks because my son and I were so excited about this! Only to open it a couple days ago to do the first activity and be severely disappointed.

I got this book at Jan and noticed the printing was in very poor quality. Plus the content is too easy and we don't think this is for grade 3 and even for grade 1. My grade 1 boy feels too easy as well. I tried to return right away on the website. However this book could not be returned after 1 month and nobody noticed this. I have a useless book in hand for now. Strongly not recommending buying it and looking for else options.

I am a second grade teacher who has a STEM club. I purchased this to give me some quick projects, what I have found is that I use it more for my class. Our science standards have changed and this kit has been a God send. I showed this to the second grade team and they have started to order their own. That should say it all. When I purchased this one I got the 4-6 grade and two STEM packs.

One of the best resources because it guides you step by step and is perfect for my 2nd grade stem classroom.
