Holds up to 12 gauge recoil!
I really like this sight. I'd never bought a micro red/green dot like this before so I wasn't sure if the field of view would be too small or if it would survive on my Mossberg 500 12 gauge pump but I was pleasantly surprised by it. I put about a 100 rounds through it today, buckshot and heavy field loads and it held up. I did have to tighten the screw that secures it to the rail but a drop of blue loctite will fix that. The controls are simple and the branding is discrete which I like. No gigantic logos or anything. There's a single button on the front of the sight that you press to turn on and cycle through the intensity settings and you hold it to turn it off. You do need to remove the sight to change the battery though so take that for what it's worth. I can't comment on the battery life because I've only had it for a few weeks now. In general, it's got clear glass without a blue or green tint that a lot of budget sights have and holds up to some pretty heavy recoil. Eye relief is unlimited so you don't have to put it in any particular spot but I moved it all the way to the rear of the rail and I prefer that. I felt like I had an easier time focusing on the dot with it mounted there than I did with it all the way forward. Also, it's really tiny so it doesn't get in the way of reaching over the top of the gun to grab shells and reload. If you want to try a micro dot sight but don't want to spend $200 or more on a Vortex, Burris or Trijicon, give this a shot. I'll update as I put more rounds through it but after today's range trip, I love it!Some more information. It's small but still offers a good field of view; the lens is 1" wide and at its highest point, about 3/4" high. Compared to a micro red dot or a larger optic like a Vortex Spitfire that will have between a 1" and 1 1/4" wide (circular obviously) lens. Consider that the addition of my Spitfire on my AR adds nearly a pound to the gun and this adds MAYBE 5 ounces. I didn't weigh it but I know it weighs less than the TLR-1HL I have on my Mossberg.Been to the range 3 times now, still works. Slugs, buckshot, target loads.

Battery Life Concern
Pros: It comes with a form-fitting rubberized cover which appears will protect the sight quite nicely. Adjustments are pretty straightforward and there are locking screws to hold zero once you are done.Cons: The instruction sheet does not match the item. First of all, the sheet is for a "Red Dot Sight". As the description on this review states, it is actually a Green Dot Sight. Secondly the instruction sheet shows an on/off switch yet there isn't one. There is a single button which has 5 settings and not one of them is "off". Cycling through the settings as you look thru the sight, you see "Bright", "Dimmer", Dimmer", "Dimmer", Dimmest", "Bright", "Dimmer", "Dimmer", "Dimmer", "Dimmest", "Bright", etc. I can always see the dot. Therefore my main concern is whether it actually stops draining the battery or not.***Update*** Well 2 weeks later. Dead battery. Surprising it lasted between manufacture and shipping to me with the battery in it like that. Only got to take it to the range once. Not happy. Will need to shop for another DIFFERENT brand.***Update#2*** Took gun w/sight to gunsmith friend of mine. He showed me how to turn it off. So I'm back to liking it without proper instruction sheet. So my final review is that it is a very good pistol sight at a great value with the wrong instruction sheet included which keeps it at 4of5 stars..

NOT for Glock MOS & Flimsy Power Button
Bottom Line Up Front: Its cheap, the power button on the front makes it too long to fit a cutout (unless your mounting adapter is flush with the slide), the solder on the power button is trash and is likely to fail after a few 100 shots.Pro's:CheapSame cutout as Doctor/Vortex Venom sightsseveral brightness levelsCon's:Does NOT work for 4th Gen Glock G40 MOS (10mm)Flimsy DesignOver all length is beyond the standard cutoutI read the reviews, one said "NOT for Glock MOS" and one said "Worked on G34 MOS perfectly". I figured if it was tight, I could trim a bit off the front with a dremel, after all its a $60 sight. The box gets here, I functions check it. works fine. I notice on the lowest setting I can still see the laser. SO I press and hold the power button until it powers off. I used an exacto knife to trim the rubber. I used the Glock adapter plate 05 (the Glock 40 MOS comes with Adapter-Set 02 with different numbered plates). I made a neat trim and its a near perfect fit. I then install and try to power it back on . . . no dot. Take it off and check the battery. All good. I check the toggle . . . its super loose. After a bit more disassembly, the toggle falls out. The solder is trash.I am pretty sure when I press and held the power button and it turned off, I broke the solder. The solder is flush contact point, not a pin through and solder to the circuit board. Its pretty much a total loss. Shouldn't have expected much.

Seems very legit!
Initial impression is good. Seems to be well made and structurally sound. Taking it shooting soon after mounting and I'll leave a review after I find it if it stands up and holds a zero.Few features not mentioned. It remembered the last brightness setting when you turn it on and off. The dot can be very VERY bright. No clicks for adjustment but it has a wheel for gauging.Heighth without mount is just under one inch on my calipers about .965 and width is 1.005Also it appears to have minimal to no parallax as described. Unit seems to be exactly as described!Very small but seemingly very well made.So far 5 stars!Update 1Discovered unit WILL auto shutoff after about an hour. Pros being the battery will probably last a long time.Cons. If it's going on a defensive weapon to can't rely on it unless you train to turn it on during or before use
