How is this with detangling? I have long thick hair that gets tangled easily and Earthling works for me but i use this company's shampoo bars

Seems to work well to detangle hair my hair. You just have to rub the bar enough all over your hair and squish your hair a bit to get it everywhere. I use a wet brush with the conditioner and it's been working fine. I guess it depends how long and tangled your hair is. Mine is a few inches past my shoulders.

does this product contain any coconut or coconut derivative?

The list of ingredients doesn't show anything resembling coconut products.

Does the Leave-In bar need to be kept away from water when not in use like most shampoo bars that can 'melt' away quickly?

I’m not sure. I leave mine in the shower but it’s on a shelf that does not get hit with water.

How does the conditioner bar work on very fine, very straight short hair? I usually have to wash most of a conditioner out before I dry

I am Asian with long, straight colored hair so I have other issues but I love this stuff! Works great with no plastic waste.
