I have terrible veins and just had surgery on some of them. I wanted extra stockings and some that are black and not nude or tan. I got the full toe thigh high 20-30 compression. I was between L and XL and went with XL to see if it would go higher up the leg than my size L do. They do go high, so if you have long legs go with the bigger size, but if you have lean legs they will be loose and have less compression. Ordering two pairs to find the right size is probably best if you are between sizes. Depending on the wear and use having each size is perfect for me. The XL fit under leggings because the bulge sits near the underpants line, the large size is best under loose pants or skirts because the bulky part is visible above the knee with tight pants on.I mean, stockings are awful, but these are at least soft and stay up as well as the ones from the hospital.

These were terrible super thin stretched stockings that clumped up every time I tried to adjust them they would bunch up and be painful because of the added pressure and I would be left with legs that were still completely swollen up except for the areas where the bunching would occur right under knee cap and top of the thighs wherever the extra material was because there was so much additional material to stretch these out I could have had legs 20 feet long and still not fully stretched these sheer well made super thin stockings . So it doesn't matter how well the material was made and how strong the fibers were because they were so uncomfortable . I fell asleep wearing them and woke up 2 hours later with severe pain and super red marks where the silicone was that was hiding these stockings up to the top of my thigh . My husband had to wake up and assist me to literally peel these off of my skin because there were areas where they had been super tightened squeezing the skin where material was bunching and then absolutely no relief from swelling in any other part of my legs so it looked as if I had placed a turnicate on my thigh and everything else was so swollen it was too painful and difficult for me to get these off myself and had my husband not been there to help peel these off my skin I would have had to call an ambulance just to take these stockings off because they were so super tight and stuck to my skin that we couldn't get the small cutting scissors from my sowing kit between my leg and the material to cut them off . So don't waste your money on these worthless stockings unless your legs really are 20feet long and you don't mind having your skin ripped off while trying to remove them. I honest wish I had taken pictures of just how bad it was because it took days for the rushing and bruising to go away after falling asleep with them on for only 2 to 3 hours. I only had them on for a total of 2 to 3 hours because I put them on before bed hoping to reduce swelling while I was asleep and had my legs in resting position where they could be elevated all night.

I bought these socks because the description said they were made in the USA. When I opened the package there was a huge "made in Taiwan" sticker over the the words made in USA. I'm sure the socks will be fine, but I really wanted to buy an American made product.

No dislikes here but I will mention that this product is made of good quality.
