Helpful on shoe soles
Worked well for my mom because she used it as a gripper under her sneakers. She can't use removable ice grippers due to a back problem, so I bought this so she could have a bit of extra traction if the walkway at her senior living complex was a bit slippery. It worked well and she gave some of the tape to her neighbors to apply to their shoes, too. Although this may not be the specific purpose for the tape, I hoped it could help my mom and it did.

Got this for my dog & tape sticks very well in cold weather
I bought this anti-slip tape to put on my outdoor porch steps that lead to my 2nd floor apartment. Steps were recently painted and when wet very slippery. My dog would slip off of the edge of the steps. I live in Maine and purchased this tape at the end of November. I worried about our freezing temps here and whether the tape would come undone. Granted the stairs have a roof over them but they are indeed exposed to the freezing temps. I waited a week for temps to rise and applied the tape on the warmest day (44 degrees) and used a blow dryer over the tape afterwards. I also applied some weight to the tape afterwards, meaning I stood on each strip of tape on each step for about a minute. The temps dipped back to the teens the next day and have remained in the 20's at daylight for the most part. The tape hasn't come off on any of the 12 steps, no bubbling as of yet. It's only been a month but I'm very happy. My dog has not slipped once.

Perfect for dachshund ramp!
I purchased this to add some extra grip to my dogs’ ramp for the couch. The ramp is covered in a textured carpet that is supposed to provide traction for dog paws, but my 3 dachshunds still have issues getting up the ramp without slipping. I wasn’t sure if this tape would have a strong enough adhesive, but it has performed EXTREMELY WELL. I stuck the grip tape directly on the carpet over a month ago and 3 rowdy dachshunds run up and down the ramp all day long and it is still very much in place. It added the perfect amount of grip for my doxies to get good traction on the ramp. Highly recommend!

Perfect anti slip tape - TIP: Use a heat gun for better adhesion
This roll was perfect for my gorilla work platform. Its 47.25 in. x 12 in. x 20 in. I was concerned it wouldn't stick because of the texture on the top of the platform. Cleaned it really well first with isopropyl alcohol. Lined it up and cut the tape before sticking. Applied the tape to the platform. Here's the pro tip. Get a heat gun or hair dryer. Use the low setting. Carefully heat up the tape one small section at a time. Press it into whatever you are applying it to. Before doing this it was sitting on top of the ridges. After it formed into the groves and made for really nice adhesion. You can see in the pictures the groves show though the tape. Without the heat gun they were not visible, and I am not sure it would have stuck.

Worked for what I needed it to
Did the job for what I needed it for. I cut the strips the length I needed and then cut those in half, which saved me from buying another one. I'm not sure how it will be putting them on steps of stairs though. Unfortunately, I'm using it for my shoes and not for actual walking on. The grip kind of reminds me of skateboard tape but it bid more "pokey".

Outdoors wooden steps
We use wooden steps on our trailler camper. Hubby made the mistake to use some inappropriate left over glossy stain to protect the wood, on top of that, being in the shade and in the weather year round it became quite slippery, even the dog was afraid of using it. After my husband took an ugly fall (luckly nothing too serious, but very painful) I decided to look for solutions (he wanted to tear everything down and build new and wider steps; I didn't want the steps to take all the space). Bought this based on the reviews. The conditions were not the greatest, but I wiped the dust off the best I could, tried to follow the package instructions and taped those babies on the steps. It's been 4 months now and they're holding strong, 1 roll was just enough to place 1 strip near the edge of each step (don't know the size). It definately made it a lot safer to go up and down. We are in WI, not sure if it will survive being under snow during the never ending winter. If I don't update the review by 2019 Summer, you will know it is still holding strong.

Lesson learned: doesn't work for shoes.
This product actually made my shoes more slippery. I read all of the reviews saying this was better than the grips made specifically for shoes and thought it would be great. Yesterday when wearing my shoes on tile I was sliding everywhere, I ended up having to go into the bathroom to peel it off so I wouldn't slip and hurt myself while walking through the grocery store.

Hoping to not fall through the ceiling again
I put a leg through my ceiling running network cable. Fortunately, I went through a raised kitchen light fixture, so no retexturizing was required. The 2x4 truss framework I walk accross had become slippery over years of traversing them in the attic to run wiring. I cut this grip tape to 12" strips and stuck the strips to the tops of my 2x4s all the way down my attic where I typically walk. It took two rolls of tape to make that happen, but the adhesive seems to be strong enough to stick to wood for some time. 1.25" wide tape would have worked best, but Amazon didn't list that size. The adhesive doesn't seem as sticky as 3M double sided heavy duty sticky tape, but is just under that stickiness, and should be sufficient. If the heat and time get to it, I'll try to leave another review. Attic temps reach 140 degrees here in the summer.
