This lock is super cool and easy to use. You can securely lock your bike to irregular shaped and large diameter objects like light poles. If you’re locking up your bike in the community while you run into the store or stop for lunch, this lock is perfect. A casual bike thief with bolt cutters will likely move right along to another bike secured with a cable lock or lower quality u-lock. This lock is heavy… I zip tied the mount to the inside of my handlebar basket because I didn’t want to use the water bottle bosses on my frame. There’s so much weight over the front wheel though, that I have to be VERY careful parking my bike in the garage. The handlebars will turn and potentially cause the bike to tip over. This might be a consideration if you’re planning to stash this in a child’s bike basket.

seems very high quality and strong. takes a bit of practice to use these folding locks. the mount is solid, when mounted to the bottle holder mounts. the length of the lock is good.

Quality bike lock that stows away nicely. It is heavy but I expect that from a quality lock. Highly suggested based on ease of use and practicality

I use this to hit through my wheel and the body of my ebike and depending on the situation also through a bike rack. It's the perfect size, and since I am used to toting things on my ebike I don't notice the weight. I use this in conjunction with a Kryptonite chain lock and it feels very secure.

I love this lock. It feels sturdy and is long enough for most places where I lock. I would definitely buy again

I dislike locks that flop around, can get in the way of peddling, or otherwise are large and bulky. This lock is none of those things. It folds up into a nice small package and the holster keeps in perfectly in place. It's not super long, so it may not be the best in every circumstance. However, I'm a big fan of the rubber coating which prevents it from scratching up your bike when deploying.

I guess hindsight is 20/20, but I'm wondering what the point of an "upgrade" folding lock is? If your bike isn't that valuable and you just want a level of deterrence that's a step up from a cable lock, there are a lot of cheaper options. If your bike is valuable then should be looking at a heftier u-lock or chain. This lock can be cut through and left lying on the ground in 10 seconds with an angle grinder (ask me how I know!), so what's really the point of spending an extra $50 compared to some knock-off folding lock?
