Easy to use, precise results.
The item arrived promptly, exactly as described. The test instructions are simple to understand, even though the English is a bit stilted. The results are far more precise than what I needed for my purposes, but the results are easy to determine and interpreted in the instructions. Everything included to test over one hundred samples. Good for aquariums, ponds, reef systems, or teaching students basic chemistry.

Best test kits on the market.
Salifert had issues in the past, which they addressed. The Salifert tests are now top of the market for ease of use, accuracy, and speed. They also contain a vial of calibration fluid which will enable you to check your kit if you feel the need. As with all test kits, check the expiration date. Use this in combination with the magnesium and calcim test kits. If these three readings are held in recommended balance, the water chemistry will stay proper for marine fish and corals.

Very accurate and easy to use!
Salifert makes some of the better aquarium test kits. They cost a little more, but tend to be more accurate than the cheaper API kits. Yet they are not as complicated to use as some of the other high end test kits. If you keep a reef aquarium, you know it is important to maintain proper Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium levels. The Salifert KH/Alk test kit is easy to use and seems to give very accurate results. I crosschecked the test results of the Salifert Kit with a Hanna Checker test kit and got very near the same reading. The only negative I have with this kit (and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is the shelf life. My previous Salifert KH/Alk kit has an expiration date of 04/2018, but was giving me false readings in 2016! I keep all of my test kits in a cool, dry, and dark location, so it wasn't a storage issue. Despite this, these are good kits and I still use them.

Stop buying bad test kits, get one of these
Alkalinity is one of (if not the most) important parameters to keep in check within a reef tank. Don't mess around with the lives of your animals, get a test kit you can rely on. I used to use the API test kits, but now will use Salifert exclusively. These kits are great, they're all really straightforward in operation and reading. From the moment you start testing, you can tell there is quality to this kit

Syringe Numbers Fading Solution
Many user have had the same problem that I have had with the syringe numbers fading. To prevent the fading place transparent tape on the syringe.
